Guest targetbsp Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 (edited) Yeah thanks found it now. How come my phone wont let me change the values in the screen column? Am i missing a setting somewhere? One of the numbers won't go as low as suggested (at least on my phone) - if you try to set it as low as the suggested 15 it reverts back to 35. 20 is as low as it can go. Also, this only fixes the light sensor for auto brightness. It does nothing for the proximity sensor causing the screen to stay off after a call. Edited February 16, 2011 by targetbsp
Guest Frankish Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Yeah i figured that out stupid me. The simple2ext app works great all my apps are on my ext partition, roms running pretty nicely.

Temporary fix for the problem: just before the caller hangs up, start pushing the power button fastly, you push it about 10 times and the screen comes back (not too elegant solution, but works for me)
Guest Simon O Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Look here for build times: http://buildbot.teamdouche.net/waterfall Blade build hasn't been added to the build bot yet.

You have to update, the new Edify (updater-script) has some more arguments and options (like formatting the main NAND partitions to a different file system, like Ext3, this one would be a good experience though, maybe I will try it).
Guest Frankish Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 I actually could use this as my daily rom...think I will have to for now. Used cmod6 on my desire and was great.
Guest targetbsp Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Yeah, it is awesome. As soon as you can hang up calls I'm going to use it as a daily rom.
Guest Victor von Zeppelin Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Interesting, CM7 has just gone RC. Could be interesting that our Blades are getting such a far-along version. :D
Guest Simon O Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Interesting, CM7 has just gone RC. Could be interesting that our Blades are getting such a far-along version. :D It won't be for a long time. There are still many bugs in the ZTE port that need addressing first.
Guest Victor von Zeppelin Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 It won't be for a long time. There are still many bugs in the ZTE port that need addressing first. I'm just saying we're hopping on at a good point. Just wondering, Flib, are you have battery life troubles? Mine went down 20% overnight with wifi and data off. I've tried all the suggestions in the thread to help. It just..isn't helping. Is it the fact we're still using a dev build really?
Guest Kr0nos Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 As soon as you can hang up calls I'm going to use it as a daily rom. i thought the issue withe the proximity sensor was fixed?
Guest markastor Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 i thought the issue withe the proximity sensor was fixed? Lot of us has the bug after 4-5 secs during a call and no fixes still..
Guest targetbsp Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 i thought the issue withe the proximity sensor was fixed? Nope. I think there was some confusion between a light sensor fix and the proximity sensor earlier in the thread.
Guest fonix232 Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Nope. I think there was some confusion between a light sensor fix and the proximity sensor earlier in the thread. There were none, the light sensor was the problem. Not only the proximity sensor is being used when it switches the screen off, but the light sensor too, and there is some bug with it (not with the levels) that make the sensor sluggish slow. You can test it. So, main problem, light sensor won't set the "full light" signal to the system and such it won't wake the screen. It was a bigger problem with the wrong sets of values, but now, a few-sec call will cause it to go crazy - maybe something shuts down the calls of the sensor wrong?

Guest fonix232 Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 adb logcat or use one of the logcat viewers on the market Better to use the DDMS viewer, it can filter, and has great coloring :D
