Sorry guys you know there was the problem with the tabmail app in 1.6.1 update .. Is it still present in the 1.7.0 or is it solved now ?

Problem with Tabmail in 1.6.1? What problem? Mine's worked perfectly from day 1.

Check the tabmail thread and follow the instructions.. It should work ok?

Just tried the GPS in the car with co pilot and navigation and wouldnt lock on at all. Worked fine in 1.6.1. Any solution to this at all? :P

Is there a script command for the install.txt file that can not load but just the gb launcher i cant uninstall adwlauncher i have the ex version and want to just use that and kill the other version thanks for all your hard work steve

remove it from /system/app folder

starts to let me unistall it but then it fails even tried droid explorer and no go. Gonna have to think about this one.

Just delete the apk file with root explorer

Just tried to get 1.7 going again... twice.

1st time it locked up immediately... again.

2nd time it worked... for a good 10-15 minutes... then locked up

Completely non-responsive

No sliders, no power button, no nada.

I wiped dalvik thinking maybe, just maybe...

nope.

any ideas?

I keep asking and no one seems to have a clue, I just see (worked for me) in response to people with complaints like mine.

BTW, this was with no config file... just straight up 'as Steve intended' LOL install.

Works fine with me homes. Try complete reinstall. What version you using?

Gameloft letsgolf2 does not work , imma just stop downloading games from them seams the tweak didnt help much but its ok ill just continue to non gameloft games off market.

Mine would never connect to my Exchange Server 2007

Yes...everytime when I sync my accounts FC comes and close the tabmail... I swapped back to default one now again.

Is everyone sure they following ht instructions set out in the tabmail thread? mine has run fine since beta2(the version thats preinstalled) released, Have both hotmail and gmail on set up as exchange with push notifications, aswell as my work address. So 3 email address all set up as exchange. Just from the directions in the tabmail thread, either page 2 or 3 I think.

I think what we are refering to is Exchange Server Active Sync not Hotmail setup. Do you have this type of Email setup and its working correctly?

sorry I couldnt be arsed with writing the whole technical term, yes, my work add is through the Exchange Server Actice Sync thingy. And it works.

Now, i am using 1.7.0

i recently played a game called "The Impossible Game" (it is not a gameloft game though).

I have perfmod on.

I found that the gameplay is quite laggy

My friend is using an unrooted htc HD2 and he can play smoothly.

So, is there any ways to keep 3d treaks and can still play gameloft games?

the tweak is using a page table per each individual thread that's called for graphics, rather than referring to a single table for everything, this seems to allow a lot lower cpu overhead.

Why that breaks ***Some*** gameloft games not all, really don't know.

I think they must be doing some hacks inside their game engines, but without knowing what don't know a way around it..

Hi,

First of all good job making this phone on par with others inspite Dell's poor ROM.

But I am running into 2 major problems with my phone.

1) Market keeps enabling my Data Network. I have a good Wi-Fi Connection and I recently tried to make it stop enabling my Data Network by using Tasker (I defined a profile that turns off Data Network whenever it goes on). If I tried accessing the market with the profile on, the following error would appear: "A network error has occured. Retry or cancel and return to the previous screen.". Even thought I have (as I said) a good Wi-FI connection. This is rather annoying as I do not have a data plan (atleast not this month).

2) Sometimes, out of the blue, processes start force-closing. That's normal , I said, and I proceed to restarting my phone. When the phone boots up (sometimes, not always) everything is force-closing. The ones that pop out as recurring each time are: Google Services Framework/Calendar Storage/Messaging/Juice Plotter/usually any app that tries to start a process. The only solution I have found to solve this is FacReset and reflashing.

Hope you can help me out.

Still not solved. Today I ran yet another wipe-reflash still no resolve. Yes I am wiping the Dalvik cache.

LE: Better yet the thing stopped working now. When it boots up the lock-screen comes on the screen, but there is no status bar. Hmm, weird I think and when I slide the thingy to unlock the phone every process that you can think off (com.android.*) force-closes.

HELP!

games are the only laggy things i find..not sure whether it s the build or the streak itself...other phones with the same config can play better...

a trade off I guess..

No expert myself but running 1.7.0 and everything seems good installed with perfmod enabled getting 2250 quadrant scores with mild o/c but only getting some Gameloft games to run ok tried loads of varities of installs for htc,samsung,motorola etc and managed to get dungeon hunter,hawx,gt racing going so far. Don't think it's the streak at fault as PES and XPlane play really well along with other games.Just crappy Gameloft coding I guess,just my 2 penneth.
