Yea same here its skipping frames mostly all my games now, i thought it was just me though, im sure it will be ironed out in the next build

Updated to 1.7 last week and had most of the problems stated in this thread. I was lucky to get 3 hours out of a full charge with virtually no use! Phone kept freezing and had many force closes on most apps. Phone got very hot too which was very unusual and worrying.

Didnt have time to look at what was going on so re-flashed 1.6.1 as i had absolutely no problems with this build. This did not fix the problem for me. The phone still had all the problems i had gained on moving to 1.7.

I tried the usual factory reset, reboot, re-flash, nothing seemed to work.

Ive been stuck with these probs all week due to not having the time to sort it and the phone has been pretty much unusable.

Determined to get 1.7 working on my phone i trawled the forum this evening and came to the conclusion that it cant be the rom because:

1: Steve, Fards and many other have it working fine on their phones

2: The problems i was experienced didnt go when i re-flashed 1.6.1 which was working fine before

3: Most importantly it would not be here if it wasnt any good.

I came across a post which suggested flashing the 322 build first, and then flashing steves 1.7 build.

This sorted everything.

Now running 1.7 with no probs at all. Im just about to modify my update zip with fards boot img then my streak is looking good again.

Once again steve great rom. Keep up the good work and i think its about time to put in another donation. Your work is greatly appreciated over here.

I think fards needs a big up too. He always has a tweak or two tucked up his sleeve and always has good information to give in the way of advice. But before you ask read the b****y forum. Your answer is probably already here.

One tiny request: at least bring back the 'end call' button in the new phone call menu... so annoying to have to press the menu button first. I really like the new screen, but it's a bit too abstract, perhaps? If I'm the only stickler, can you at least make an install option to have the old phone call menu?

I went with the gingerbread keyboard as an option when flashing, however i can't select anything but that keyboard in the options, I have swype and swiftkey and pinyin as options, but when I select them the menu goes away and it's still on the gingerbread keyboard. If anyone has a fix, let me know.

Have you just been trying to select them through settings?

whilst you DO have to do that, there is another step. go to messages/chompsms/handcent/whatever, press and hold the compose section. you should see 'input method' come up as a box. Press it. it will then display the keyboard options .

Flash recovery 309-go official 309 - go official 318 -- reflash streakmod recovery -- install 1.7.0

This now work perfectly.

Also I'd like to mention that when using MarketEnabler with T-Mobile US faking the Market app would turn on my Data Network even though I had Wi-Fi and no app would install properly.

I do not know if I am the only one in this situation, easily solved by faking another provider(Verizon US in my case)

Hope I helped some people that are in the same situation as I were.

I posted earlier about some problems I have encountered in 1.7.0. I am happy to inform you guys that now everything is working due to what a guy wrote few posts above.

Flash recovery 309-go official 309 - go official 318 -- reflash streakmod recovery -- install 1.7.0

This now work perfectly.

Also I'd like to mention that when using MarketEnabler with T-Mobile US faking the Market app would turn on my Data Network even though I had Wi-Fi and no app would install properly.

I do not know if I am the only one in this situation, easily solved by faking another provider(Verizon US in my case)

Hope I helped some people that are in the same situation as I were.

Im glad it worked for you too. I used 309 recovery to flash the 322 build then flashed steves 1.7 using clockwork recovery but it seems both ways get the same result.

Wifi, data, gps, screen timeout were all very buggy for me. For instance I would click enable gps, press back, enter the gps setting again and gps would be disabled. Rebooting, reseting cache, delvik cache did not help (sometimes it stopped the problem very temporarily but not for a whole day).

Factory reset resulted in boot loops for me. I used the first option for the four option menu screen.

Trying factory rest from 1.5.1 then I'll reinstall.

I've had this happen several times. The first time i did a factory reset from 1.7 and it went away for a bit then started happening again. I just went back to 1.6.1 to see if it continues to happen and thus far it has not but it has been only 24 hours.

So earlier today i flashed the 322 then back to 1.7 in an attempt to get a fresh install of 1.7. Sure enough after a few hours it became stuck on the new kb added to 1.7. I used titanium backup to delete it from my phone, rebooted, and now i can select back from swiftkey, gbkb and swype. not sure if the new kb is whats causing the problem or that i just deleted the kb it was stuck on in which im sure the problem will arise again.

I'm thinking of buying a A.R. drone and was ready and it needs to be able to connect to ad-hoc wifi connections. Is it done with streakdroid os or is there somewere i can get it changed?

Went from 1.6.1 to 1.7.0.

Just thought I'd confirm there are GPS and Wifi problems that are a huge issue versus 1.6.1. Rest of ROM seems OK.

I've tried all the reset/cache deletes/etc as mentioned in other replies in this thread to no avail.

i appreciate DJ_Steves work.

I might just be better off going back to Dell2.2 So far, it's seemed to be the most stable, although 1.6.1 may have been a tie.

Can I go straight from 1.4.6 to 1.7.0 without the baseband flash from 1.5.? I just got out of boot camp and only have my streak and not my PC or laptop so I can't reflash the baseband. It says highly recommended but doesn't say it just wont work if I do just install 1.7.0

Thanks - good to know it's working for someone. I'll probably wait foot the next revision before re-installing since these are only minor issues for me at the moment.
