i am not a tester, so i would like to know the progress now

is 1.7.0 the latest update, or there is something new going underground?

On 1.7.0 i understand there was issues with gameloft games and steve amended a lot of the underlying data.

I have tried this version of streakdroid and generally it was brilliant.

The only problem i encountered was using opera mini 4.2.

Yes i use that old version :D purely because it gives the opportunity to set up encryption with the server so it is just that bit more secure.

When using mini 4.2 scrolling on streakdroid 1.7.0 is really juddery.

Does anybody know how to fix this? If not, does anybody know of a software that would substitute my needs of a mini secure(encrypted) browser as mini 5 + does not have this option built in.

1.7.0 is the latest, no "underground" testing happening at the moment. :D

I had a look at 322 and this had the same issue on the notification bar, so it's not unique to 1.7.0. Press the home key to clear it.

Not sure if anyone else has got this, but 1.7.0 has the fault where when typing on Swype and your plugged into the charger the line is all over the place.

I was using the stock 2.2 previously and it is a huge improvement (thx DJ Steve).

But one thing bugs me, everything is bigger than it originally is. Why and how do I fix it?

How do you change the desktop resolution? I installed with the following settings and the desktop icons are HUGE. I can only fit 5 or so on the screen.

First off you have two density settings there, try just the US setting.

Try that and see if it helps.

you used density 240 (and us240) you really dont need both..

if you are US then you don't need the US version..

160 is default. lower value = smaller everything

if you want to change it on the go then you need to change the ro lcd_density in build.prop

as I've already said, search the forum if you don't know how to do that, there's loads of instructions

Fards found the solution to this...

All you need to do is push the files in this zip..

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13321962/libskia.zip

to /system/lib/ then restart..

i.e.

adb remount

adb push libskia.so /system/lib/

adb push libskiaGL.so /system/lib/

adb reboot

And it just closes when I click on any tournament. Looked online and no one else mentions a similar problem so was wondering if it was summat to do with steves rom. Can someone on 1.7 see if it works for them please?

I have successfully paired bluetooth mouse and keyboard. - using apple wireless keyboard and logitech v470 cordless laser Mouse for notebooks. It works seemlessly - keyboard mapping fn+left arrow= home and F5 key=menu key haven't figured out the back key yet.

Just curious, but I thought somebody said that the fixed libskia (for wikipedia crash, etc) is already included in 1.7.0? Or did Steve just recently add it to the rom after the fact?

According to changelog it is.

My experience is that I replaced it again with 1.7.0. I'm not the only one.

Guys,

I dont know if this is related to 1.7.0 but my data is getting kained even with no web surfing.

Ive turned off auto syncing and i installed 3G Watchdog Pro but when ever i look to see what apps are taking my data it says ive had no inbound or outbound data traffic, yet its going up like a mg every couple of hours.

I have to instal JuiceDefender to turn off my Data until i can figure it out.

at this rate i will run my 500mb allowance into the ground without actually surfing/streaming the net.

A) is anyone else having this problem? have they figured out what the problem is

2) can anyone get 3G Watchdog to work (it works as in it keeps me updated to how much im using) but the "usage by application" shows all my apps but does not update with %

I have even tried the code *#*#4636#*#* and going to Battery History>Network Usage - but it just comes back saying "No usage data is available"

Nothing can tell me what is taking/draining my data.

any ideas whould be great or any fixes for the next DJ_Steve release would be awsome.

It is strange, I have looked in the installation zip and the files are from Feb 5th and the replacement files are from Feb 3rd, the sizes are the same but they are actually older than what is in the installation archive.

The one glaring diff is that the new gl file is named libskiaGL.so and the original one is libskiagl.so

[edit] A binary diff shows them to be the same as well so perhaps it's just a naming issue?
