yes, i've got it automatically detected (happy with 32mb).

if it doesn't happen try a2sd check or a2sd help

My sd was paritioned with 312 mb of swap (if I remember exactly). Is it automaticaly working? or should I activate it through gscript?

from adb shell if you type "a2sd check" you will get:

Swap - [ ] Partition present.
[ ] Swap partition: /dev/block/mmcblk0p3
[ ] No Swap flag file not found.
[✔] Swap starts.
To deactivate swap, type a2sd noswap
[ ] Note: Not all ROMS activate swap.[/codebox]

or simply typing "free":

[codebox] total used free shared buffers
Mem: 188476 173232 15244 0 120
Swap: 50008 21524 28484
Total: 238484 194756 43728

if swap is not active here is the part from "a2sd help":

Swap Partition Commands:
--------------------------------------------------
reswap
Removes the No Swap flag. Allows A2SD to
activate the swap partition.

This is used if you have already executed an
a2sd noswap command. Otherwise, this part is
automatically performed when Apps2SD is
started.

File removed: /data/.noswap

noswap
Creates the No Swap flag. Prevents A2SD from
activating the swap partition.

File created: /data/.noswap

swappyxx
Sets swap partition swappiness value to xx.
Example: To set the swappiness of the swap
partition to 30%, type:
a2sd swappy30
To set at 75%, type:
a2sd swappy75[/codebox]

I think the first page should be updated with clearer installation instructions, so that everyone has installed using the same procedures (so that everyone can reproduce the same problems), also mention DO NOT overclock when reporting problems. I would also suggest marking the older patches with OLD / OPTIONAL in front so people can quickly see what's required to get the latest version.

Finally, maybe a FAQ (frequently asked question) section would be helpful, questions such as moving apps from SD to system, governor settings..etc.

P.S. I work in software quality assurance (not Acer), and these procedures help resolve problems quicker for everyone.

i'm happy with 32mb of swap and 10% compcache. i would not increase swap size since the system may become slow when swapping.

sometime i disable compcache since it seems to me that it slows down the phone but i'm still experimenting with it so nothing as a truth :D

another thing: android tends to keep applications in memory to fill the available ram and improve responsiveness but this ram is freed when another app requires more memory so simply looking at free ram is not a good index of the actual performance of the phone.

the best is to try, with my a1 liquid i will stay at 32mb of swap :D

Use Go sms, it is the BEST sms app and the led light works perfectly

I will definitely look into this though my thoughts are the incompatibility may be across several apps (but thanks :D)

can I add themes to this rom? I mean adding to the themes already existing in rom, I need a pink theme for my girlfriend.. Is there any way to add it?

Thank you so much to everyone who have contributed to this rom and all the other roms/kernels/code it's based on! :D :D

It is definitely the best rom so far (and I have used many since i got my Liquid at launch)!

Have anyone tested the chocolate kernel on EAP / PEAP encrypted WiFi (where you log in with individual user name and password)?

in setcpu, choose nexus one as your device

Any reason not to let it autodetect Liquid?

If you search "cm7" in the market there are a few themes that show up, not sure if there is a pink one yet or not,

This did not fix my problem also it seems like a direct copy of handcent...

Has anyone problems with the media library? In my case, the artist tags aren't recognized. So all songs are listed under "unknown artist"; the other tags (album, title) are correct...

Edit: I have deleted all files and moved them again on the sd card - now it works. :D

Don't know, for me led lights are working correctly...try to rewipe and reflash everything, naybe you forgot to wipe something or you have a base bin not 100% compatible...Anyway to all the wipe & flash operations I suggest Clockworkmod recovery, it seems it works better than malez one...

And then gosms is faster than handcent and designed for HD devices and it has got many good themes to choose, just try it a couple of days.

So do u suggest me just to wait for a few minutes so that the network comes, or should I go to setting to enable it? what do u mean by enambling it? search for network?

I just search for network, and it connect 9/10 times. If you get network error, leave for a min or two and then try again, and sometimes if you just leave it all together, it will connect automatically after a couple minutes. Im sure they will get that fixed sooner or later

Just installed.

Speed is not so impressive as someone says. Are there some modification in the CyanogenMod tool wich allow some extra boost?

Proximity sensor seems to not work. I flashed the patch after the Rom and the new kernel.

In the phone application, is there smart dialing function?

how to disable proximity sensor in this ROM until the bug is resolved?

Howdy ho! Playing around with CM7, time for some more FBack.

Battery life. Trying to find out what is killing it. Last night at 21h30 the phone was taken out of AC power (at 100%) and it dropped to 23% until today at 11h30! No calls were made, last night i spent about an hour and a half playing around (surfing, gmaps, earth) on wifi in which period i lost a little less than 20% battery (!). Before this evluation i had already removed the scrollable news widget for XDA, and only left the android calendar widget and the cyanogen's renderFX widget (none to be causing this in my belief). The phone is OC'ed @ 921MHz which i find it to be very stable, and in interactive mode as suggested by devs. On battery usage and for the last 14h i get 46% cell standby and 42% on phone idle (also 5% for wifi and display and 3% for maps), so its safe to assume that its got something to do with 3g/hspa network (i dont want to try only 2g network because it defies the purpose a bit) or maybe with the clock speed when idle (?). I really dont know what else to try in terms of benchmarking or/and battery saving, without losing some important funcionality or OC abillity, both of which are essential for me if im gonna stay with this ROM. I am willing to try any suggested solution in order to help (as much as i can not being a dev) the further developent of this ROM and more than everything get stop that battery life dissapearing in front of my eyes in real-time (literally). Any suggestions/ideas/magic spells? Thanx

X.

EDIT: During the night i had actually shut data connection and was on 2G only! Still battery life was sucked out like mad...
