Second day of testing, got something to report:

1. USB suddently didn't work anymore. no notification in status bar and "unknown device" listed on my pc (and yes I've installed acer drivers), solved rebooting, next time it happens I'll post a logcat.

2. 3g connection icon and radio signal icon in status bar switch color (from green to white) when 3g is deactivated/activated, is this a known issue or a gingerbread feat ?

p.s.: 3. USB thetering doesn't work for me

Regarding themes, there's any theme with battery indicator in status bar in 1% steps for this rom out there?

Thankssssss

I don't know if it is just me, but I am getting a really REALLY messed up problem.

I can "write" and create files on the sd card with any apps, they show up on the phone just fine, but as soon as I view it on Windows, nothing was created or edited, i tried editing a file I have created on windows, can't see the changes i have made on the phone, tried on multiple Windows machines, windows 7, XP.

However, I can go back and see the changes again on the phone with any apps, cross apps too, but mounting it to windows will only show up with no changes or any files created under windows, any ideas people?

Same thing happened to me in t&l a couple of weeks ago with some pictures taken with camera, didn't solve with reboot. I found them however next day by plugging usb in another pc.. O.o

I tested both:

with 4.008.08 i get 1-2 reboots (2-3days), battery drain seems (is) higher (than in 4.002.14.EMEA.GEN1), no problems with 2g connection after calls.

with 4.002.14.EMEA.GEN1 no reboots, best battery drain (for me),

P.S.: with 4.005.05 to many reboots (with/out OC)

Same here regarding 4.008.08. Battery drain higher than 4.002.14.

Bootloop on 4.008.08, A1, what do ?

Solved once at first boot with wipe all, then i configure Cyanogen and it bootloops again... Which parameter bootloops the phone ?

maybe the 4.008.08 radio doesn't have a compatible fast dormancy feature.

just bunch of small upstream bugfixes and webm video support in 2.3.3, nothing major

Posted

2.3.3 isn't major but it would be nice to have it to enjoy latest CM patches.(battery percent, better lense lock style)

And who knows maybe 2.3.3 may be a little faster.

Should have a beta version so we can test it if we want to take the risks, better to find bugs early than later.

Report is due :

- Videocam illusion apk is working ...but it looks like a baby camera.

- Going over 921drains too much battery and I got reboots at 998.

- Annoying SPB TV apk doesn't work anymore - lags and can hear audio but no videos - unless for the three Euronews channels . Don't know if it is a time of use / free use ended related issue or technical issue.

- Some CM setting not working (audio tone on lock / unlock f.e., others)

For all the other features, like BT or WIFI, wonderful!!!!!!!!!

Regards

You can try it, but it is not modified for liquid. Sensors should not work.

revert included.

*It is framework and settings from nightly8.

Hey all, finally got CM7 working on my phone (had to reformat my SD card to stop reboots), and for the last couple hours seems pretty stable, however I find that like some others mentioned before WiFi doesn't seem to work. Turning it on will just turn itself off after a few seconds. Below is a line I got from adb logcat that I thought may be useful:

E/WifiHW ( 560): Unable to open connection to supplicant on "eth0": Permission denied

Doing ip addr returns no eth0 adapters.. any ideas what I may have done wrong?

installed the latest CM7 along with the bluetooth patch.

i fixed it reflashing the bin before cm7 and wipe.

i think that there is something wrong in simply "wipe before flash" even tough i can't say what actually.

there was a version of malez recovery that had bug in "wipe all" option that so it did not actually wipe, you might have this.

Just flashed 1.2.18 with audio and Bluetooth patch.

Quite smooth~ nice build~

But I have a stupid question.

I can use bluetooth to send file to my PC but when I try to send file from PC to liquid, it send no FTP service.

Am I missing anything?

Hi guys, i have an annoying problem. I flash cm7 over 4. 002. 14 emea fresh leak, full wipe, sd partition with ext3 and the patches. Everithing goes good until, after a reboot, the phone can't connect to gsm or umts network . If i tried manual network scan it says impossible to connect and in settings phone info it says baseband unknown instead of 05. 00. 05 or something like that. After reboot or cache clear the problem remain. Liquid is a1, operator vodafone it. No overclock.I have restored a nandroid t&l and all works .

Any idea?

i have 6.1.. i know that malez said that bug exists but even after the fix i still face the problem. i also reflashed recovery but anyway just to be sure to not have problems now i'm used to reflash the bin

i have exactly you phone and carrier, i'm using latest official rom for a1 (no leak) and it works flawlessy.

what i don't understant is that before the latest official rom i was using your bin (4.002.14) without problems :/

in my area i have problems with umts sometime, when it happens i need to switch to 2g to get phone calls.

another thing is to not use data 2 sd as it is buggy right now.

A little update, I tried to install the 4.008.08 with baseband 05.01.06 and the result is exaclty the same, it apperars that the problem is unrelated to the baseband, I tried also with a different sim card with different operator and I got again the same behaviour. If I remember well early releases of the the cm7 did not had this problem. Could this be related to what is inside the /cache partition ? How can be that at the first boot all is good and get corrupted after that ?

Final update: I checked with ps the deamons running and found that when the problem arises the daemon rild is not working (as pointed by the logcat), but cmp(ing) it with a previous copy gave no any differences as well as for libril-acer-1.so. Apparently if the corruption occurs it must be somewhere else,

The strange behaviour of the air-plane mode switching on and off intermittently in a crazy way made me to think to try to reboot the phone only after putting it in air-plane mode, this way the next reboot was fine and after disabling air-plane mode and unlocking the sim the phone worked flawlessly.

From there on I was also able to reboot the phone with air-plane mode disabled without loosing network any more.

So, for my phone the fix was to reboot (at least the first time after the first boot) in air-plane mode.

I think this can solve both my problem, but this is not a solution.... dev, do you know something about this??? thx

Just wanted to say thanks, reflashing the BIN, then wiping etc seemed to get WiFi going for me. however I also noticed that unless I do a complete format of my SD Card and remove the ext2 partition, the phone will hard lock (pull battery) after a minute of use or so. No log in the logcat that indicates an issue I could see. Formating the SD Card in Malez with an empty cache / ext2 partition did the trick. Recreating the ext2 after setting up the phone seems to work.

I've had this issue.. somewhat last night when I first tried CM7. initially it just took forever to get a signal. however manually choosing one did work, until a few reboots later it didn't. What worked for me (and I don't know why) that seemed to get both Cell and WiFi networks working is:

1) flash 4.002.14

2) Re-root

3) Format SD Card in Malez to wipe out the ext2 partition

4) Wipe everything in Malez's options at least once

5) Install CM7 and then the bluetooth

6) Start the phone up

7) Skip as much as possible, including not creating a GMail account right away

8) Get to the home screen, make sure everything works.

I actually initally skipped step 3 the first time, made it to the end, and had to redo 3-8 again because of the phone freezing. Probably not required to mess up like I did tho :(

I hope this is helpful (and not confusing, i'm up way too late...)

Great work guys on the ROM!!
