Guest Riekr Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 you dont have any problems?! wow normaly you should have some cause acer changed partition sizes... actually i have not, i anyway use a2sd for apps and cache (as i was using before). partitions and free space are like that: df Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on tmpfs 94192 32 94160 0% /dev tmpfs 94192 0 94192 0% /mnt/asec tmpfs 94192 0 94192 0% /mnt/obb /dev/block/mtdblock3 131072 123820 7252 94% /system /dev/block/mtdblock4 197376 129252 68124 65% /data /dev/block/mtdblock5 91520 40180 51340 44% /cache /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 484322 340266 119048 74% /sd-ext tmpfs 94192 32 94160 0% /cache/d/dev /dev/block/vold/179:1 7431548 4300188 3131360 58% /mnt/sdcard /dev/block/vold/179:1 7431548 4300188 3131360 58% /mnt/secure/asec[/codebox] i know acer changed partitions size, unfortunately i don't remember the sizes in order to check with the ones i posted but you can do it by yourself :(

Guest jayziac Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 There should be a way to just disable the proximity sensor (using liquid-settings maybe?) since even the latest 4.008.008.VFIT Acer bin doesn't have a bug-free proximity sensor (it stays on and drains battery even when phone is not in call and sleeping, in battery usage, 'android system' uses more battery than 'cell standby' and 'phone idle'). I can get used to pressing the power button to turn the display back on after a call, as long as it behaves consistently and doesn't drain the battery.
Guest fear_factory84 Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 so also using cm7 has the prox sensor battery draining problem? I tried to get rid of the prox sensor removing the permission file about proximity sensor, but no luck... I would like to use skype, but after first voice call, it enables the prox sensor and never disables it. battery percentage goes higher and higher, and the only way is to reboot the phone. Killing all skype processes don't work. This is on all acer based roms... Battery drain of skype without using voice calls is ok.. so it's definitely prox sensor. I can see the red led on voice call. Anyone could test this on cm7 or miui? Thanks in advance... Guest mabar81 Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 Hi, I recently installed this ROM: it's almost perfect, really fast and stable, a lot better than froyo original ROMs. Bluetooth is fully working with my car's handsfree kit (using bluetooth patch), battery drain is a little bit higher than previous, but acceptable. I noticed these problems: - proximity sensor isn't fully functional: my screen turns on only within 5 seconds, otherwise I have to press power button to reactivate the screen; is there a way to fix or simply disable proximity sensor? - data connection seems unstable: sometimes 3G/H/E and signal strength icons in status bar become white and Internet doesn't work. I can't figure out if it's a ROM problem or a network problem (with froyo bin there was no change of color, maybe I had the same issue but I never noticed it) Thanks for the great work

Hint: if you’re in a hotel or airport using Wi-Fi, the bars won’t turn green until you launch the browser and get past the captive portal.

Thanks in advance... it seems not to be the prox sensor the problem, using strace there is a mad skypekit process that gets a repeated connection timeout and that cause the phone to never go to standby.. so it's app's fault... Very bad.. but it's known.. skype is crap!
Guest Christoforos22 Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 Is there any chance that we can have cm6 customization settings(battery, status bar) in this rom just like Dario93's leogingerbread rom?

Guest the red blue blur Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 I've tried :-[ waiting for new boot or libs with new sensor drivers.

Guest DemonGloom Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Hi everyone i encountered a problem today, don't think it's new but it never happend before. I can't mount the SD anymore - statusbar crashes: Do you have matted blues theme installed?
Guest Andy__P Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 I do, but i also tried it without it being activated but it made no difference.
Guest DemonGloom Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 I do, but i also tried it without it being activated but it made no difference. It just replaces system apk's when you install it.. No matter if it is chosen in Theme Chooser or no..
Guest error88 Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Hi guys! i have "FREEZE" my phone when use sdhc card 8Gb 6class A-DATA.. And i know peoples who have same problems with SDHC cards only in CM7. So I think, its firmware bug. I was already write about this problem Help.. :(
Guest NecroMan Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 I have a problem with mounting of my SD card. After each odd phone reboot card won't mount automatically. I can only mount it manually or by another phone reboot. I was tired of reconfigure launcher with removed widgets!.. Here are two logs. First log - card was not mounted (you can see some locks on shutdown and integrity errors on load); second - next reboot when card was mounted correctly. Any suggestions and fixes? Thanks.logcat_mounted.txtlogcat_unmounted.txt
Guest TroutT20 Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 In terms of features, Is there anyway to add an boot animation chooser? The CM7 one is nice, but the Nexus One is also pretty cool, as well as the one below I would like to see going: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...11#post11879611 I know there are more important things probably still being fixed, but might be something to look at in the future.
Guest Edward.W Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Any news for CM7 RC2 ? Same here, but i want to know what exactly will be improved in RC2?
Guest the red blue blur Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Is there anyway to add an boot animation chooser? replace system/media/bootanimation.zip is too easy and there is no need to make "chooser"...
Guest natostanco Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 12% battery usage from dialer, is it normal?
Guest mattdauntless Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Anyone know how to hack the volume on the liquid? The sound is just too low
Guest chiksum Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 anyone know how to hack the volume on the liquid x2 I don't like the fading effect when i got notification because my sms notification sound is very short.
Guest Ximo F. Verde Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Slightly off-topic (but not really).. I tried the flash 10.2 leak, on CM7 Liquid @ 921MHz and i have to say im quite impressed. Even though it doesnt seem to HW accelerate video, i get flawless playback on youtube ('Big Buck Bunny animation' @ 480p !) and much better quality on streaming flash (bbc news). And some dude with a SGS is talking about 5fps max over at pocketnow.com.. What do these people feed their phones with..?
