I like your optimism :D

Anyway i think i'm talking for roggin and koud too, WE ARE STILL ALIVE :D

ATM we are trying to solve some problems we have with new sensors lib (written by our genius roggin), and we want to solve them before release next version. New rom RC2 is already in testing, so some guys (i want to thank them again) are helping us to found bugs.

P.S

I would like to remind all of you, liquid is an elcair device with 2.6.29 kernel.. it doesn't have froyo official support, you're running Gingerbread..

Thanks :(

GOD. Can u sometimes tell us some news about the developing like you did in this message? It's nice for your followers and maybe we can even help you :( thanks!

Yeah, something like a short daily message from your dev team whats going on, what you tried or achieved the day :(

If something fails or dont work a message from you is still better for us than no message i think :D

is there a reason why the minimum processor speed is 576? I think it consumes more battery than 245 but for what is it set like that?

the reason is you're running smartass governor (i think).. Switch back to ondemand, so you can get all avaiable frequencies

@ALL

we'll try to update more frequently this thread..

Thanks

Correction: The original Liquid was even a Donut device!

Thx for the update.

Good notice, yes, Acer isn't supporting his liquid very well.

Thanks about your work, still you want to do it :( (you = roggin, thepasto, koudelka)

This is great news. This ROM is my daily driver (well currently using fear_4.008.08 due to the need of tethering. Staying at a hotel where WiFi costs).

Good to hear that it is still alive and well.

Keep it up guys!

Firstly this is a great ROM and I used it as daily usage for weeks. Fast and stable, battery consume is great as well.

I used Titanium Backup to restore app and has no issue, but when I plan to upgrade to pro version, I found I couldn't find the Pro app in market from my phone. I tried to install it via web market, but it told me couldn't install to my liquid. Anybody has same issue and is there any workaround?

thanks in advance!

I solved tethering on this rom using PDAnet for USB tether and "Wireless Tether" for wifi tether. I'm using this rom as daily, best rom ever for me :D

If you purchase it on his website, they will send you an e-mail with a txt file- http://matrixrewriter.com/android/

Placing that txt file on your SD Card will activate the Pro version of Titanium Backup (ie. whenever you open Titanium from market, it automatically becomes Pro).

No need for any external markets or any external apps.

Btw, for $6, I can confirm that it is WORTH IT. Saves me ALOT of time when switching between ROMs.

I think you've downloaded a broken package.. It's working fine with malez recovery... So try to re-download the package

Yes, i use to the lowmem-strict valur (thanks ThePasto for explain'e that) and it's prety perfect value for liquid A1... more smooth when type on ketboard.. and other case to ;-)

i use this value of lowmem than 3 weeks now.

i not use any apk, directly on terminal emulator... type "su " then type "a2sd lowmem-strict "

every reboot you must type on terminal emulator... it's not resist reboot, but to try it' s better.

To anyone who has done this.. thing: I understand that it involves setting apps2sd up.. sort of.. but I have no idea how to do this or anything else mentioned. If anybody gets it, and has 5' to spare can you pls explain me what its all about? And how to get it going? thanx

laterz

EDIT: I dont even know how to set up app2sd, or how this helps compared to standard froyo/GB 'move apps to SD'. If u r too bored to explain, at least dont give me any s**t for it. I have understood that if you dont understand something, better leave it alone and this is simply what im going to do if i get no reply. peace

the lowmem-strict value is one of the settings about the internal memory killer of android

you can download Auto Memory Manager from Market for free if you want to set these settings with GUI

Thanks for your suggestion, but I don't have palpay account. So it is not convenient to purchase from official site.

I have nook color running CM7 nightly version and I can found TB pro in market correctly, so I suspect there is something wrong with this CM7 building. And another example is Read it later app, I purchased and run it normally in Nook color but couldn't find it in my liquid as well.

I hope koudelka or roggin can look into this and fix this issue in next release, I cannot live with this ROM in my liquid now.

If any other guys has experience with TB pro and Read It Later in this ROM, please kindly share with us. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I try to direct you, as well as possible, to understand what it is. dev I'm not, neither do I. I can only direct you where I am informed, too.

Meanwhile, all this for me, started noticing that when I wrote on the virtual keyboard on the forums, spent much time between when I type, and when it appeared that I had typed. explaining my experience with ThePasto, I proposed to change these values mysterious for a novice like me. so we tried it before, with a value lowmem-optimum, and I noticed improvement, but not quite enough. therefore doubly a week, we decided to raise the bar on value lowmem-strict .... perfect ....

precise, which in my case, I have the habit to keep on, Skype (use very heavy and not very optimized, surely), and I have too many widgets on my home, which require continuous synchronization ... but always remain open processes, then use a lot of Ram ... Therefore, I have on my Home: fancy widget, facebook widget, widget tweeter .... add more system processes such as Gmail, Settings, Maps, DSPManager, keyboard androids (which are system processes, and we can not avoid them ).... At this point we understand that the RAM that is available is full, especially on Liquid A1 ....

At this point, if we use a task killer, we are simply adding more RAM consumption, the ratio of saving space / space consumption.

Now, if we understand what is really the ram, the swap, and compcache .... their goal for an operating system, how they work in android, and ultimately the management tools that you may have, and use, across the darktremor a2sd, concluded that changing these values for the management of available memory, large oterremmo benefits (again assuming a valuation gain space / space consumption), and the result in my case and others who use this method, it is good ....

if you want to have precise technical explanation (I am not able to give them to you ).... you referring to the articles on the wiki forums CyanogenMod:

on Ram, Swap, Compcache: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?titl...p_and_Compcache

on apps2sd: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Apps2SD

link to the wiki: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Main_Page

to take advantage of these settings, you do not need a GUI app. then just use the terminal emulator. but for those who are afraid, it can simplify things and provide security.

I hope to be able to explain my positive experience with these settings ... what I said is a personal thought, perhaps inaccurately, perhaps with errors in analyzing and understanding these abstract concepts, for a beginner like me. Seeing is believing ....

I write a little here, because I can hardly express myself in English, and it disturbs me to be understood in a wrong way, compared to what I want to explain. so be patient if it is not understandable, and asks you well .... I lack the patience that only time ... xD

PS. to use, a2sd, just follow the simple explanations by ThePasto first post. You must create the partition from ext2 recovery, and also the swap partition (mine is 256 MB swap and 1 GB ext2 on a sdcard 8 GB), then in the terminal emulator, type:

su

then

a2sd check

Finally

a2sd reinstall

.... simple.

Many thanks to ThePasto, Roggin, and Koudelka, for your great work .... besides being a very good Rom, we learn many things. Google finally to translate, to help me express myself.

Sorry to tell I have choosen Portuguese language for the phone and for the key

board and I immediately found phone info translated, do not know for the keyboard. If you choose two languages, you can select which to use by swiping on the tab, but I actually can read suggestions only in Italian ( and I have selected english and portuguese in keyboard settings). Maybe we need a reset for the keyboard )?

Regards

OT for Fischschneehase: Angry birds is working flawlessy at 921OC !!!!

So I rebooted + no changes. Will revert to Italian. Regards.
