Even though im sure that our great devs already know about this, CM7 Final is out: http://www.cyanogenmod.com/blog/cyanogenmod-7-0-released . With the exception of some battery inconsistencies and the camcorder/prox.sensor situation, this ROM is already perfect.. Lets see if it can get any better and.. official CM7!

I think this project is dead. Even though the devs keep saying it's not, but there hasn't been a new ROM since Feb. 18. CM7 final has already been out for a while now. It's a shame, it was so much more active during CM7-RC1 time, and now that CM7-final is out, there isn't even a ROM built for liquids.

LeoGinger is a CM7 rom. He had an RC2 / RC4 release and announced completion for the final version in a week or so. Dario I believe is working with these devs to get to completed.

Plus there are 4 Ginger based roms that I can think of for Liquid. 2 of them CM7 based.

we have had some slight battery life regression with newer builds and for this reason it has not been released plus, we were waiting for final version to be released :)

Hello devs, I'd rather wait a little more, and have a new issue, with something more than RC1. is more professional in my opinion. miss the time to create this .... Thank you again so much for your great work.

Thanks for the update. I've also noticed slightly more battery drain ever since upgrading to 4.008.008.EMEA.VFIT (t&l.08 ROM). I used to get 1%/hour drain idling, now about 1.5-2%/hour. I have 2G data only, GPS/wifi/prox sensor/background data off, I have 2 theories:

1) the VFIT radio uses more battery power.

2) My battery is showing its wear (It's about a year old now, and may not be holding its charge like new)

Maybe release a test ROM for those of us who want to try it out and help figure out what is draining the battery or other problems. Think of it as additional eyes/minds on the problem.

I have also noticed higher battery use since upgrading to 05.01.06 baseband, but I know people with liquid e did not see this increase in battery use. It is possible later baseband versions have some trouble with liquid a1. you also got the original A1?

*edit* I will try roll back to older baseband version and see if I get better battery life

Very nice to hear that u r still around. I personally feel sorry for not being able to donate yet, since CM7 is definetely my choice of ROMs, but ive been goin thru some rough times financially (who doesn't.. :) ). Anyways, just as a bit of FB, im on 4.002.14.EMEA.GEN1 with 05.01.05 and battery life can vary from very good to rather problematic, the reason of this inconsistency i have yet to discover. Most of the times its pretty ok. In the brief time that i switched to 4.008.08.EMEA.VFIT, i too noticed a higher overall battery use, again, have no idea why. If any more info is needed (and which im able to provide) ill gladly do so. Congratulations again for this great work, our Liquids have definetely been upgraded a notch or too with this ROM.

In case there are some people who do want to test newer build, http://www.multiupload.com/IRJB2XHNIV

I have not had time to test it for long, but so far it seems to work okay (no camcorder). Hopefully proximity sensor in call should be little bit improved with this, and reconnecting data after 2g call

hi, can you try making a call with skype or sipdroid with this rom? old kang cm7 had a lot of trouble with voip call (interruption of conversation) and i think the problem was in cpu governor for idle app and the proximity sensor...could you verify if it works? or if there is a solution?

You do not seem really happy to announce your work...it means that you are not satisfied with it? :)
