Guest Lens_flare Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 (edited) There is no reason to disable prox in 2.3.2, works fine.. /system/lib/hw/gralloc.salsa.so no such file or directory said me an ADB.. removed default one. Edited April 21, 2011 by Lens_flare
Guest yapa73 Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 ehi, only to said, when hai push, i must write: adb push c:/gralloc.qsd8k.so /system/lib/hw and not: adb push gralloc,qsd8k.so /system/lib/hw/ is it OK ??? is it the same ???
Guest Dr. Robert Chase Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 Thank you Dr. Robert Chase, finally I have prox sensor disabled, thanks to your boot :) Just to know, what did you changed in boot.img to do the trick? Thank you again! changed permissoins for proximity from 0640 to 0000 in unventd.salsa.rc in ramdisk.

It should be gralloc.qsd8k.so
Guest albi86 Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 (edited) Koudelka I have tested the two rom. In the "old sensor" the proximity sensor does not work, while in the "new sensor" the proximity sensor works in reverse, ie when approaching the phone to your ear, the screen turns on and when you go away, the screen off. Of course I did all the individual wipe, including the last wipe (wipe all). Why ? Edited April 21, 2011 by albi86
Guest KeruDoitsu Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 There is no reason to disable prox in 2.3.2, works fine.. no such file or directory said me an ADB.. removed default one. Basically, I don't like prox sensor feature at all :) In each rom (even acer stock or based) I disable that sensor. Thanks again Dr. Chase xD (Take my greetings to your boss, Greg xD)
Guest koudelka Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 if someone uses rom with the new sensors and have problem with proximity, you can try and use this one http://www.multiupload.com/BHPD4MPTC6 adb remount adb push sensors.salsa.so /system/lib/hw/ adb reboot
Guest edhunter666 Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Pretty sweet rom! Thanks devs! :)
Guest yapa73 Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Hello, Koudelka, thanks for your great commitment to all of you. yesterday, so I flashed, the stable version with the new sensors, I leave this. Guest koudelka Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 here we go again :) one more build, this time with old sensors and old graphics firmware, see if anyone feel any difference with it (battery life wise). http://www.multiupload.com/ITK34F2E85 I had it on idle last night after full charge (without reboot after charging). 7h40 min = 10% battery with 3g and sync on, gtalk and google latitude running (recived 23 emails, and latitude made 8 location updates during the night)

And the rom is wondefull, the prox sensor doesn't work for me, i'm testing the battery life i'll report tomorrow I think prox sensor is disabled by default, which is what I want xD Koud, your last build has an incredible battery life O_O Really amazed about this *_* Everything working great (except from camera, but you can use videocam illusion (thanks dr chase)) :)
Guest albi86 Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Koudelka is there a way to run this damn proximity sensor in this rom? Thank's :)
Guest Dr. Robert Chase Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Koudelka is there a way to run this damn proximity sensor in this rom? Thank's :) install and config a little "proximity screen off" app from market.
Guest albi86 Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 install and config a little "proximity screen off" app from market. thanks, actually already knew this program, I had tried on miui, but it only worked if I had wifi on and do not ask me why :) Now I try again, maybe it works on this rom, I will keep you updated! :)
Guest KeruDoitsu Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Strange thing, it seems to me that since I've switched to ADW launcher EX in koud's last build, I have a faster battery drain =O Is it possible that ADW consumes more battery? =O Thanks =)
Guest KeruDoitsu Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Strange thing, it seems to me that since I've switched to ADW launcher EX in koud's last build, I have a faster battery drain =O Is it possible that ADW consumes more battery? =O Thanks =) I was wrong, it's not the home launcher.. I think it's the themechoser app. I performed a reboot, if I change theme without rebooting it seems to drains more battery.. I'll make some tests :)
Guest studjuice Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 if users who use one of the new roms i posted here (either cm7.0 with newsensor or old sensors) could test if this improves battery life it would be great :), http://www.multiupload.com/3LRX6UXXME download and push it to device using adb. adb remount adb push gralloc.qsd8k.so /system/lib/hw/ adb shell rm /system/lib/hw/gralloc.salsa.so adb reboot I did this and after testing it for a day, it's been 24h and I have 35% left
