Thanx for the answer.

Earlier today - before reading the post - I installed "t&l Gingerbread Edition .14" and it works like a charm. It is based on 2.2 . Is it good as a basis for this ROM, or should it be a ROM from the aforementioned list?

Would be best if you flash the 2.2 bin and then flash T&L on top (infact, pretty much every Froyo/Gingerbread ROM work best when flashed onto a Froyo bin).

The bin files on that page are either leaks (older ones) or extracted from Acer's website (newer ones). The official ones (newer ones) are designed for Liquid E but the 256MB versions are slightly modified (I believe one line changed or something like that) to work with the A1. Works great (except Froyo on a low memory device can be a pain at times).

- new sensors libs included. (compass not working and some problems with p-sensor)

- some kernel fixes

- based on cm sources

For me p-sensor works fine with it.. No need for compass.. They can be easily improved for me are better.. But if you want oldsensors now just flash a zip :P Not so bad!!

I mean sanity for p-sensor (if it doesn't work out of the box), and maybe you need to enable "light sensor filter" in cmsettings to get l-sensor working

take CMParts.apk from nightly and replace whith same apk in kang.
