Hello - and phone dialer

Name's Greg and I am new here. Got an HTC Wildfire (no, me, not my wife) and it suits me just fine - I am very hard on phones and the cheaper I can replace them for every 6 months, the better.

I have this Wildfire and while I love it I hate the dialer. The Phone button switches between a Green Call and a red End Call and sometimes you realise the thing has called the wrong number and you have to wait for this switch to take place, often only once it has connected. Is there an alternative?
