Guest madnav
Tried making skype calls. I could hear the voice but directly through speakerphone without selecting speakerphone option. Then i selected speakerphone but it didn't change anything. 1stly i thought it would just be an issue with skype. But the problem is persistent over Nmbuzz and Fring. ROM: JapJelly rls9 There are total 6 zte blades in my friend circle including mine and the issue is persistent over all. one of them is over rls2, 2 of them are on rls5, and other 2 are on rls6. So im assuming this is not an issue specific to release im using.

Guest Inopia
I just submitted a full bug report to Skype (rather than complaining on the forums) including a one-line fix to their code to make it work. I have patched the Skype .apk and it works for me now, but I don't know whether Skype will appreciate me distributing hacked .apks.
Guest FelixL
This is the thread in a German forum: http://www.android-hilfe.de/zte-blade-oran...eisprechen.html Autotranslated version: http://translate.google.de/translate?js=n&...ml%23post998176 Apps with this problem: Skype Nimbuzz Linphone Sipdroid Fritz Phone Tango FriendCaller VoIZ Working: Sipdroid special version Fring Csipsimple The problem that was found by the guys from sipdroid: On Orange San Francisco there problem seems to be related to not working am.setSpeakerphoneOn call. Old am.setMode call sets correct speaker. I translated post 6 for you: I hope I can earn a few "thank you" :P Some smartphones have this problem. The app developers have to include a fix. For Nimbuzz, Skype, etc. I have no solution. For Internet telephony, such as on Sipdroid / Csipsimple however, I have: http://translate.googleusercontent.com/tra...pqQQ#post977067 This version of Sipdroid works: http://translate.googleusercontent.com/tra...xcjDKxr8rhw#c69 But if you use this version and turn on the speaker, the mic will turn off. The speaker is not recommended anyway since there is an extreme response. Put the Sipdroid debug.apk on your memory card and install it with any file manager. Deinstall old Sipdroid before. Or install csipsimple. Take the latest version from here: http://translate.googleusercontent.com/tra...5a0tPoWkn0zSIAA If there are problems with accessibility, etc. then read into the topic Pbxes.org. But I would use Sipgate to dial out only. Accessibility is difficult, if only because of the wifi problems. Hopefully this can be fixed in the costum roms? Distributing is maybe not legal everywhere, posting a howto is.

Guest Ralph Martin
Just tried CSipSimple. Works well, better than my previous preferred program which was Linphone.
Guest baconismidog
Dell Streak Only plays from speakerphone on: sipdroid csipsimple v.02.01 a bunch of others. Tried 3cxphone and it will play from speaker and headset but doesn't have bluetooth and the interface is kinda junky I fixed my situation with comment 21: http://code.google.com/p/csipsimple/issues/detail?id=145 Basically, just download this old version of CSipSimple http://code.google.com/p/csipsimple/downlo..._0.00-12-19.apk and you're golden. Bluetooth, speaker, headset. Integrates nicely with the phone app and google voice for me.
