xperia x10 problem after root/ how to get 2.1 update

Hi all, trying to get help with titanium back up, I want to use it to remove att bloatware it worked perfectly on my captivate but on my wife's rooted Xperia x10 it doesn't work, when using titanium back up it seems to delete apps but they appear again in the menu

I am also trying to fine out if anyone in the U.S. has been able to locate the 2.1 eclair update for this phone

BTW Sorry if this has been asked before but did a search and couldn't find the answer
