Guest Ilkin Jamalli Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Can you link me to the 2.1 rom you used please? any feedback on JJ RLS9? Here it is http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...clair-oled-tft/. JJ RLS9 was not as good as de-oranged one in terms of battery live. But you know what I reinstalled de-oranged one again after JJ RLS9 and the battery live is not as good as was on first time. Frankly I do not remember doing battery calibration afterwards so gonna do it now and update the topic.
Guest Ilkin Jamalli Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 The battery is 58% after 24 hours (22 minutes talking since calibration).
Guest dooglex Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 The battery is 58% after 24 hours (22 minutes talking since calibration). That is a great battery life, I will try it now, I have found that in flight mode the battery drain is much more modest, a few percent an hour, only in standby with everything off is it 10% or more an hour. The fact that I still get a high battery drain with the phone switched off, unless I remove and re-insert the battery, is very suspicious. Also after charging if I check the battery using spareparts, even after charging for 8-10 hours I still only get to around 75/80%, or at least it drops to that after 5 minutes off charge. Will report back with the effects of the new rom!
Guest Spies Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 (edited) FLB 6a 72 hours and 6% remaining. Just normal use really, wordfued, a little web browsing, ebuddy, email and so on. Screen on time totalled approx 4 hours. Edited February 25, 2011 by Spies
Guest Reading1800 Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 (edited) I use JJR9 and its really good 2-3 days light use now compared to one day on stock . Also consider using Advanced Task Killer to shut down stuff you didn't know was running in the background, surprising sometimes what seems to be up and running Edited February 25, 2011 by Reading1800
Guest amsel Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 I don't know how this compares overall, but I run JJ9, and yesterday went from 1pm until 10:30am this morning, during which time I briefly used Skype, made about 25 minutes of call, wrote a couple of texts, listened to about 2 hours of music, and spent around 15 minutes on the interweb, and I had 67% left over at the end of it. To get this, I employed a few little tweaks, them being: 1) Enable overclocking, install Overclock Widget, and change the screen-on bounds from 384MHz-600MHz to 128MHz-710MHz, and the screen-off bounds from 128MHz-384MHz 2) Use JuiceDefender to cull data connectivity when the screen's off, and all network activity between 2am and 8am with the exception of when the screen is on 3) Uninstalled apps that load on startup and run in the background, replaced with apps that do the same function, but without the lingering odour On the latter point, you'd be surprised how many apps there are that feel the need to run continuously in the background, and 95% of them are apps that you really don't want to use unless you specifically open them yourself. You'll find the phone runs faster without them, too.

Guest dooglex Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 I'm wondering if is worth getting someone with awesome battery life to do a TPT backup that those of us with problems can try, as I have tried all of those suggestions and still can't get over 10 or so hours! Just about to flash with 2.1 when full charged, otherwise I guess just ebay it!
