Guest MoNzAi1988 Posted June 17, 2011 Report Share Posted June 17, 2011 I've been using the phoenix 1.6.10 3rd version (dated 12 June 2011) with the process as spec'd by Lens_flare to convert to english and it's the best MIUI by far.. For me, everything works. BT, Wifi, GPS, MMS, 3G etc. and no FC's The battery life is good, lasts 1.5 days with regular use. Best of all the new sensor fix by Truecolor in this makes this work just as good (if not better) as stock rom, no more getting stuck with blank screens after a long call, also it's instant on/off! And yes, the loss of signal after a call is fixed now, so no more turning data on/off by hand...and the annoying loss of signal after reboot is also fixed so reboot as many times as you need, no probs. ;) this was due to some issue regarding carrier name... @lens_flare, some of these fixes are in the new boot.img from Truecolors rom, so I don't know if you'd want to update your 1.6.10 ?? Guest Rajit Posted June 17, 2011 Report Share Posted June 17, 2011 I downloaded the MIUI English Language pack of nexus 1 from here: http://www.miuiandroid.com/roms/ Then I downloaded TrueColor's chinese version, and then replaced the build.prop in the lang pack with the one from TrueColor's rom. I zipped it again, and then flashed it. It says "Language Pack flashed successfully", but my phone is still all chinese. The lang pack doesn't seem to be working. Any clues? Wipe all and flash Truecolor's rom. 2. Boot once and then reboot into recovery. 3. Flash the language pack (without sign check) 4. Boot again. 5. Go to settings menu on the home screen (Center icon on the lower row) 6. Go to the third tab on the top of the menu. 7. Scroll down and choose the item with the Keyboard icon. 8. Once inside, choose the second item. 9. Choose English. 10. Reboot for changes to take full effect and have fun! ;) IMPORTANT UPDATE: Don't flash this language pack, it is deprecated!
