i cannot seem to get lockscreens to work....

i copied some mtz files onto the sd card, under MIUI/themes

and my phone can't even see those files!?

so then i tried downloading a few....

AshBolt worked

but all the others I tried didn't - some chinese ones and ROU UI

is it because Ashbolt is very similar to stock, and the others are not?

if this is true, how can you tell which ones will work and which ones wont?

I'm on MIUI 1.5.27

I heard there is aprogram called "Swapper" which does everything

so, can I use a partition on my sd as a swap area??

Of course you can, swap is combo of swapper and swap partition :D

Or hey, why not use compcache i.stead of swap? :)

nubie here :)..how to flash acer liquid ferrari edition (512 ram) with this rom..after install recovery with male recovery for ferrari edition then boot it into recovery mode, then i wipe to factory setting, then update with custom rom, and the result is the phone keep booting..is there any step that i miss? sorry 4 my english :P

You should install 4.002.14 rom first.

thanks Lens_flare for your advice..but i have the same result..but after searching this forum, i got 1 way to custom that ferrari with Miui 1.5.27..from original 4.005.06_AAP-G2F_05.02.01_bin, using this tool (ACER Download Tool [single]), i flash the device with Acer_LiquidE_1.100.05_EMEA_GEN1_2fe3feb1f695fe0b8e22c09ae14544fd.bin, then installMalezRecovery_0.6.1_FULL.exe without changing the .img to ferrari edition due to problem booting in recovery mode..then i turn the phone to recovery mode by pressing vol- +camera+power button, the phone boot into recovery mode..after that i root the phone, wipe all and then flash the phone with Miui rom and booom, the phone boot perfectly to miui after 2-3 time automatically reboot..credit to forumers@android @ modaco..:D

I tried it, but I don't see a lot of changes; or at least the game I play (Inotia 3: Children of Carnia, a great RPG) force close after some minutes.

I mean, I also set the "graphics" to low and I turn off the auto-save.

But after 30, 40 minutes the game FC. I thought it could be a memory problem, since I have 50-60MB free.

Uhmm, I downloaded the plugin archive, there are 3 files Android.mk.* (where * means NVIDIA, POWERVR, QUALCOMM) and the source codes.

What should I install as a plugin?? :D
