Guest Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 HTC Desire HD has the same resolution, no android phone has a better resolution Some phones have 480x848 instead of the regular 480x800.

Guest Vansphone Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 I think i am going to buy Zte Skate :D I read that it is available in May. I guess it is too soon to know the possible price?
Guest 900i Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 I am deffo keeping an eye on the Skate as an upgrade from my Blade, I think ZTE make affordable Androids and hope the Skate is in the same vein.
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 i definitely will buy a zte light 2 to complete my blade will be very useful at hotel to read documents from the job forums and so on just one point in specs i have read processor will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7230 is this processor an arm 7 ? (so you can have flash support)

(so you can have flash support) Snapdragon MSM7230 is ARMv7 and has Adreno 205 so it should support flash. But MSM7230 is only 800 MHz and ZTE Light 2 should have 1GHz processor according to this. So are you sure it has MSM7230?
Guest Jekle Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 D'you think they'll call the ZTE Skate the Orange San Francisco II? If Orange decide to sell it.
Guest Azurren Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 D'you think they'll call the ZTE Skate the Orange San Francisco II? If Orange decide to sell it. The San Francisco HD? The Boston? The Manhattan? :D

Guest Sere83 Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 (edited) If the skate has an MSM7230 with Adreno 205 and it's cheap......it's in the bag. If it's running on ARM 11 with adreno 200 and not ARMv7 there is no way I would be touching it with a barge pole. As people have already said the performance between these 2 chip sets is worlds apart. While I like my blade as well and love the roms, its still pretty slow in comparison to even the older 1st gen snapdragon devices. I'm also interestred to find out about this.... http://www.shenit.com/blog/2011/02/15/apan...z-phone-review/ Doubt it will leave china but looks nice still... Edited February 20, 2011 by Sere83
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 Maybe thats wrong Take a look here : here perhaps but it's for phones i imagine with a tablet you have more place to dissipate the heat (bigger radiator / small fan) if i'm not wrong i have read 7230 is under-clocked at 800 mhz
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 humm i'll go perhaps with a zte v11 10″ (1280Ă—800) screen Android Honeycomb. :D processor 1,2Ghz 5 Mpx camera 1,3 MPx camera in front.

Guest 90180360 Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 If the skate has an MSM7230 with Adreno 205 Well, it doesn't. We know it has Adreno 200. Adreno 200 and 800MHz most likely means MSM7227-1 Turbo, as gwebb has first mentioned.

Guest The Soup Thief Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 (edited) That looks good, any idea on price or release date? The internets seem quiet on that score. Gadgets republic says No release date or pricing information have been given yet, but with specs as nice as these I doubt it’ll go for any less than US $200. Bear in mind there were whispers of the Blade from about 12 months ago and it only surfaced about 4 months ago Edited February 21, 2011 by The Soup Thief
Guest charliemike Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 The San Francisco HD? The Boston? The Manhattan? :D Orange Austria already has a "Orange Boston" and "Orange Miami" on sale
