How is your battery life with this kernel?

I use stock froyo+ 883 OC + compcache + SWAP +3g and sync on and get approx 5% battery drain / hour in standby. How about you? Any tips to improve it?

the same here... I don't have checked the %/per hour, but it's surely a bit more than before. Well, if this is the price for a snappier telephone, i'll pay it :D

Liquid E

Metal 2.75

921 works great, minimal battery drain

998 works great, battery drain is pretty bad for me, dropped 60% in 6 hours, while I slept.

Hey Rithchen,kudos for your great work! :D

p.s. If you agree I will include your 921 kernel in FroyoMetal :D

Here it is http://www.multiupload.com/TLENMTLQW6

I haven't tested it as my device reboot itself at 998mhz.

What is no frills?

Thanks so much! At 998MHz on LCR-F, I am getting Smartbench scores better than a Nexus One on CM6 @ 1.13GHz! :D

Thanks for this OC kernel !

My Liquid A1 - T&L Gingerbread ROM + patch "Quadrant" + OC 960 (OC 998 freeze on my phone :D )

-> Quadrant = 1591

-> Neocore = 28.1 FPS

AMAZING !!!

Edit : Finally after a reboot during a call with OC 960, I flash OC 921, much stable for me and battery drain more acceptable.

would like to ask what is the difference of the 921 file from fear_factory64 and the original 921??

im using LCRF 2.0

Fearfactorys is designed for LCR.

I tried the original 998 and it did not work on LCR, while fear_factory's 998 works great for me.

I tried the original 998 and it did not work on LCR, while fear_factory's 998 works great for me.

so is everything else the same as the original one like mt fix?

also since i flashed original 998 already, do i just flash fearfactory's 998 on top or do i need to do something else?

thanks for your response :D

What the...i have the same config (retried applying the 920Oc and 1600 patch twice) but my phone does 920 on Quadrant and 710 on SmartBench

After flash 998 over Froyo Metal 3.0, all apps stored by APP2SD are lost.

On one hand this kernel is really something I expected a lot for Froyo : alll HW working, OC / Compcache / SWAP.

On the other hand it drains 3 times more battery than stock rom and I can no longer use my Liquid for an entire day.

Frustrating! But if the DEV's pushed it so far I am sure they will manage also the final step to make this kernel energy efficient...

Hey guys Please Explain to me how to activate the swap?

if I run from gskript

------------------------------------------------

insmod /system/lib/modules/ramzswap.ko;

rzscontrol /dev/block/ramzswap0 --disksize_kb=32768 --init;

busybox swapon /dev/block/ramzswap0;

-------------------------------------------------

then I get the message from device

-------------------------------------------------

stderr: insmode: init_module '/system/lib/modules/ramzwap.ko' failed (file exists)

disksize_kb: Device or resource busy

stderr: swapon: /dev/block/ramzwap0: Device or resource busy

-------------------------------------------------

It's a patch from the Acer, it boosts the performance of the phone in Quadrant :D

After applying it and OC my Liquid to 960, I can have 17XX marks in the benchmark :D

Patch: (From T&L Rom)
