Please can someone clarify....

I am using JJ8 Rom on my OSF TFT. It has been Androoted. Does this mean I can download apps from the market for free (the priced ones)?

It appears I am able to proceed to the OK part but I do not want to incurr any charges on my mobile phone bill.

Thanks

LOL

No, that's not what rooted means...

And that's a "no no" question around here so, don't ask it

When you download apps from the market it charges to your google checkout account. Rooting does not allow you to pirate software. It merely allows you root/admin access to your phone.

Thanks for the clarification.

I thought rooting means jail breaking.

You're right, Jail Breaking an iphone does give you root access.

Root access allows you to change things on your phone that you're not normally allowed to change. This allows for greater customisation and is required by some 'power user' apps.
