Guest GX390 Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Amazing rom easily the fastest, most stable rom Thanks :(
Guest stefanokan Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 @ bhf Thank you very much. :( Tomorrow morning i'll try and report.
Guest Roo13 Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 [..] So, today I literally pulled the plug and let the phone die (power down) on its own and charged it that way over night. Then, the first boot was directly into recovery and i wiped the battery stats. I guessed, this would help at least the battery life to recover, but guess what. You're right, miraculously the wifi reconnect issue was gone, too. Every time i brought my phone back from sleep, wifi reconnects in seconds. Of course, this procedure helped my battery life, too. Now, 10 hours with very light usage later, I've got 92% battery left, as I used to. Thanks again for this great piece of ROM, flibble. Hi, Your method, which seems quite efficient, isn't alike the most common: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...bration-protip/ is yours specific to the rom or simply a try you wanted to do..? I'd really like to do this the right way cause my battery life is really bad: percents fall very fast. Thx in advance

I'd really like to do this the right way cause my battery life is really bad: percents fall very fast I've just given the rapid battery drain issue a new approach. I guess, my way is not very specific neither to this ROM nor to the phone. But I haven't tried this method with another ROM or phone. But what I know, this really works. 28 hours after plugging out the charger and with light usage, some push mails, sms and internet 3g my battery life is still at 65%. I'm back in the three day charging cycle. Mission accomplished, yay.

Guest arpakyna Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Still the same problems with superuser occasionally failing to give root access to programs (and once it doesn't, it won't until reboot), using R10b.
Guest ogilviea Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Still the same problems with superuser occasionally failing to give root access to programs (and once it doesn't, it won't until reboot), using R10b. Appears to be a common problem with superuser 2.3.6.1 - see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...p;postcount=728 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...p;postcount=729 Clear the data for the superuser app - it will save you a reboot :D
Guest targetbsp Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 (edited) The version that comes with CM7 works really well. Never gone wrong once. It says Superuser 2.3.6 database version 5, su binary 2.3.1-ef in the version info. Is that the same as with FLB? Edited March 12, 2011 by targetbsp
Guest j_u_s_h Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 I have problems with the wifi in r10. In the advanced wifi settings I set the "Wi-Fi sleep policy" to Never, so I expect it to be always on. Unfortunately, when it goes to sleep it immediately (I was pinging the ip all the time) disconnects, after it wakes up (the wifi icon in the notification bar is there but without signal) it reconnects immediately. I've a TFT ZTE Blade with build FLB-Froyo r10 (I did a complete wipe as preivously I'd CM7.0RC2). If needed I can provide logcat (or other logs). Btw, when the device is connected to the computer the wifi is not disconnected. It was also working in the CyanogenMod 7.0RC2 and RC1. I've tried to retrieve the logcat but I'm not able to see enough events to see why the wifi went off. Feel free to contact me if you want me to provide some logs.
Guest spanner44 Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Have upgraded successfully from 8b and the wi-fi seems to be working without any problems, no problem with connecting and it also manages to find and offer to connect to other open networks when I am out and about as well. Well Done and thanks for your hard work.

Clear the data for the superuser app - it will save you a reboot :D Thanks for the tip, but that didn't help either once the app has hanged up on getting no root access. Like when Ti backup hangs, you exit it, clear the data on superuser and try it again.. no luck. However other apps like setcpu do work and get the superuser pop-up. I'll try if I can update superuser to newer version if there's one available. ...WiFi is working perfectly with this rom, btw. Thanks Fibble. Edited March 12, 2011 by arpakyna

If you have any issues updating superuser from the market you'll need to install Superuser Fix by chainsdd. It should sort the issues out.
Guest Manbag Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Just to say, thanks so much for your time for doing this. I and many others appreciate your work.

Guest Super Ted Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Any reason why I've only got the rooster alarm? The wifi is still pretty buggy on 10b and needs manually switching on multiple times daily. I'm on a uk tft phone using 2.6.32.9. Should I change to a different kernel?
Guest andy9876 Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 WI FI Tethering issue Can anyone help please. I have tried WI FI tethering on an XP laptop using the built in tethering feature of the Rom. It works fine with no password. When I try to use a WPA/WPA2 password my laptop asks for a 5 or 13 character WEP password. When I provide one it does not recognise it and link. Am I doing something wrong? I have downloaded and used the WEP password security based Barnacle App from the market and it works. Many thanks for your work on the Rom Flibblesan

I had this - go back over the last couple of pages, someone had a link to the Froyo Alarm.zip. Install via clockwork and you now have a standalone alarm and access to all the alarm tones.

That's normal behaviour for me rak007, a reboot costs you 5%. Has been the same with other ROM's as well. Cheers, Paul
Guest andycanada Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Anyone have strange effects with GPS? I hadn't used GPS for a while and when I turned it on a few days ago and went to the GPS test app, the GPS icon did not flash on the status bar, although the app said the GPS was on. I sat there for 10 minutes and nothing happened. I turned off GPS and turned it back on again and tried but the same thing happened. Then I restarted and everything was ok. However, yesterday I was using GPS again and every time I turn GPS on it also turns on my wifi. I tried restarting a few times and this still happens. My GPS works perfectly now but every time I turn on the GPS the wifi gets turned on as well. Using r10b swiss oled phone bought from OK mobile
