Guest Roph Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 (edited) B10 Gen1 TFT phone here, not sure of display type as I flashed it soon after getting it. 512MB memory as standard, easy to root and so on. There many be something about slight screen discoloration at the bottom (near the buttons), see my thread here. Wifi was perfect for the short time I tried it on the stock orange rom before flashing, and again is perfect for me on FLB R11. youngsta2010, wi-fi disconnecting when the phone sleeps is the intended function. Sleeping is just that, going to a low power state. Wi-fi always being on even during sleeping would drain the battery. Edited March 29, 2011 by Roph
Guest youngsta2010 Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Yes i understand that but why doesn't it reconnect when it wakes up when the wireless is turned on? Every time i go into wireless settings and it either says "not in range, remembered" or "connection unsuccessful touch to try again" also the wireless just disappears and goes back to 3g at random times, when i'm on market, when i'm online, i have to exit and go back to wireless settings again. My ps3 (the only other wireless i have) never drops wireless signal, not once since i've had it.
Guest Roph Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 I'm not sure, I don't have that problem. Also remember that your PS3 has a dedicated wireless card, or at least a decent aerial. Your blade has to make do with a tiny internal aerial and low power output. Try installing Wifi Analyzer from the market, that will show you signal strength and so on. If there are other networks that overlap your own on the same channel that can cause problems. When I first got this router it was using channel 6 just like the default of almost every router out there. After switching down my channel there is less interference and my wifi works better.
Guest Hallucyn8 Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 (edited) Hi I've only just registered on this site after browsing for the last week or so and just thought I would add my experience of the Orange San Francisco with B10 firmware. The screen on mine is reported as TRULY so it seems there must be some B10 devices with LEAD and some with TRULY. I have experienced WiFi not reconnecting after waking from sleep although it seems pretty solid when it is connected. I have also had an intermittent issue where the screen won't come back on after waking the phone. The phone does appear to wake as I can feel the phone vibrate when I press the Home, Menu etc. buttons and also hear a beep if I use the volume up and down buttons. I don't know if my phone is faulty or not as it doesn't happen any more often than once a day and sometimes not even that frequently. The "fix" seems to be to remove the battery and power the phone back on. I haven't been able to find anyone else reporting this issue though so it may be a fault specific to my phone. EDIT - Just seen another thread on this forum describing the problem with the screen not waking. Edited March 30, 2011 by Hallucyn8
Guest youngsta2010 Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 My router is set to automatic so it should choose the best channel, i'll give the wifi analyzer a try, thanks.

Within a few seconds after coming out of sleep, it's back on the wifi. I'd try a few ROMs and see if it clears up that issue, but otherwise try taking it back to orange for a new one, since it seems to be a recurring problem.

It's just running the standard Orange ROM, haven't rooted or modded the phone in anyway, the wireless issue I can live with, it's the screen not coming back on that is the biggest problem which I thought was an isolated issue but apparently not according to this thread
