Guest darkworldzz Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 (edited) just read the b7610 android thread.. i think it was post 368 or something.. there is a simple solution to the sleep problem. i have been using it for a few days and no sleep of death problem. i installed it on sd card, mar3, beta 2, stu drivers, cpu fix. energy rom latest, phone i think it was JF1, eboot JF1 or was it JE, and singapore JC1 csc. also only lock and unlock with the end call button.. wait 2s when unlocking.. etc Edited March 6, 2011 by darkworldzz
Guest Rufik Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 Please, edit your posts and add info about used ROM, radio, etc version from WinMo (like JJ1 or so).

Guest mavado Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 (edited) My setup: Eboot / phone JJ1 Latest energy rom. -Ext4 My Storage partition -Beta 2 -03-03-2011 updates -Rapid's 2d/3d drivers (I am using the original drivers provided on first page post #8 http://rapidshare.com/#!download|482l3...80....don't know exactly if there're from rapid ) No SOD so far. Using this setup for 48 hours. Only problem was with battery drain. Plugged in the charger when I went to sleep. The next morning suddenly phone was rebooting, turned out the battery was drained. Guest maliabg Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Phone jj1 Energy rom Ext2 sd card 03-03-2011 Rapid's 2d/3d SOD only happened when I start android without charging , battery drain caused by the data connection, turning off data will make battery last longer, I think battery is normal same as wimo
Guest rom_omnia2 Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 - beta2 - MyStorage / EXT4 / 1024MB - update_20110303 - 2d/3d drivers from modaco o2droid forum CSC - JH2: http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-omnia-...t-csc-and-cabs/ ROM - JH2 LITE: http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-omnia-...t-csc-and-cabs/ HI! My name is Rom_omnia2 and I get random SOD. :( Some times don't wake up after sleep, and i get random freezes and also reboots when running apps (Opera + Ebuddy + Screen Button). But i like it anyway, many apps and games to play. :( Thanks and congrats, Devs.
Guest aerovolce Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 i think i have a temporary fix for SOD when unplugged. try opening an app that previously prevents android from sleeping. put it to sleep once under this condition and wake it up. Sleep works fine for the rest of the time, about 1 or 2 sec leg after pressing the end key to wake up what worked for me was google voice in the messaging app, where you can compose and send message.
Guest Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 i'll have a try... current setup: mystorage 1gb, ext3, rapid's 2d3d, beta2, update 33, JJ1, rapids&n00bodys rom. SOD everytime after boot; ran the whole day fine but now it suxx. 6 times reboot, sim not recognized, and SOD after first sleep. great. -.-
Guest myrat Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Here is my solution to the SOD issue and hope it helps. Don't install/boot/reboot android in the below conditions: - Charger connected - USB connected - Low battery I.e. if you always install/boot/reboot android when your battery is almost full and phone unplugged, you shouldn't run into this issue. Worked for me so far.

Worked for me so far. charged 100% and got SOD imm. after first sleep. so not 100% sure ^^ even after reboot with charger plugged in.
Guest myrat Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 charged 100% and got SOD imm. after first sleep. so not 100% sure ^^ even after reboot with charger plugged in. DON'T plug in the charger or USB, that's the point.
Guest Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 DON'T plug in the charger or USB, that's the point. misstyped, it doesn't matter what i do, in all conditions i get SOD.
Guest darkworldzz Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 try this here http://www.modaco.com/content-page/329882/...b7610/page/360/ post 368. works for me.
Guest slmz Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 With SetCPU it is possible, just put sleep set to min280 max380 and it dont Sod any more.
Guest Rufik Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 You can set cpu speed in mount.sh script also. I have found that min=133MHz in sleep mode eliminates SOD. But increases battery drain :/
Guest shoarmabakpao Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 just read the b7610 android thread.. i think it was post 368 or something.. there is a simple solution to the sleep problem. i have been using it for a few days and no sleep of death problem. i installed it on sd card, mar3, beta 2, stu drivers, cpu fix. energy rom latest, phone i think it was JF1, eboot JF1 or was it JE, and singapore JC1 csc. also only lock and unlock with the end call button.. wait 2s when unlocking.. etc I never read that but apparently I got the same rom + eboot with everything My phone never crashed and battery lasts very long :D
Guest voyteckst Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 I've detected three main causes of SOD: - newest cpu libs (these from beta 2 are ok) - advanced task killer - stu2k 2d/3d drivers - BUT they are ok if You will copy ONLY following files (format: size file_name): system/lib: 36108 libEGL.so 21424 libGLESv1_CM.so 17328 libGLESv2.so 17544 libs3c2drender.so 170856 libsurfaceflinger.so system/lib/egl: 21 egl.cfg 21752 libChunkAlloc.so 76972 libEGL_fimg.so 114092 libGLES_android.so 3520112 libGLESv1_CM_fimg.so 2433848 libGLESv2_fimg.so system/lib/hw: 5280 copybit.GT-I5700.so 14060 gralloc.GT-I5700.so
Guest Rufik Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 I've detected three main causes of SOD: - stu2k 2d/3d drivers So what 2D/3D libs do you recommend? :D
Guest voyteckst Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 (edited) So what 2D/3D libs do you recommend? :D These, but without some files. Edited March 16, 2011 by voyteckst
