I'il set the mobii tegra to slave usb mode, 2. I'll set debug mode 3. I'll connect via usb pc and device (with usb driver for windows 7 x64) 4. I'll run vega tool and I'll select recovery tab 5. then??? Edited March 6, 2011 by boh

Guest Pyr0x64 Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 Thanks for this buzing bee However, my iFilemanager constantly forced closed after i'd installed so ended up using my nandroid backup. Keep up the good work hmm, same problem with iFilemanager here too log of the error: http://paste2.org/p/1285933
Guest Buzing Bee Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 humm .... thats strange as the kernel shouldn't affect how Ifilemanager operated .... ill do some tests :(
Guest OwenRW Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 Having just flashed this with CWM, I'll add to the list of bug reports... Base ROM is 1.08 with Paul's add-on pack. * Market fails to launch (Briefly pops up then goes away) * Touch screen failed to respond after first reboot * Battery Widget (Here) now always displays 100% * Quadrant score of 1110 On the plus side, the wireless connects really quickly and so far it hasn't decided it no-longer wants to connect to the network. Excellent work so far! :(
Guest Apache14 Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 lol all these strange issues ... market is good for me :(
Guest the_corvus Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 BB, please, can you compile too ntfs modules (r/o at least, best r/w) and pl2303.ko. Thanks. Corvus.
Guest zzleezz Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 +1 for NTFS, that really would make me want to use USB host.
Guest Buzing Bee Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 ill add both NTFS and pl2303 modules in the next version :(
Guest eriksp Posted March 6, 2011 Report Posted March 6, 2011 Excuse my ignorance, but is this USB host or slave?
Guest beegee1962 Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Running your kernel on the MoDaCo r8 without any problems. No problems with market or file managers. Feeling (not measured) is that the device works smoother with this kernel. Next I want to test the battery consumption. Thanks a lot Buzz!
Guest PASCHA Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 I can install buzz vega kernel and lookin normal everything.... but I dont see my ext4 partition with my rootmanager... how can I see it and use.??
Guest Schooleydoo Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 I thought the same thing, but thought perhaps it was a placebo effect. Scrolling in the browser seems so much smoother. Unfortunately it seems to have broken my Switchpro/Dazzle widget. It can turn the wifi off without issue but is unable to turn it on again unless you do it manually via the Android settings menu. When you get there, underneath the wifi option is "error". Restored to a CWM backup prior to installation and the widgets work again.
Guest matthijskox Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 (edited) Do i lose my settings/apps with this? I am currently on Fuji modded rom V0.4. Edited March 8, 2011 by matthijskox
Guest jegupi Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 Do i lose my settings/apps with this? I am currently on Fuji modded rom V0.4. I have installed and haven't loose any application
Guest rvdgeer Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 Nice work! Excuse my ignorance, but is this USB host or slave? slave :( Can you make a USB Host mode version too, so we don't loose functionality when switching USB modes (boot images)? Or even better, can you create a USB mode switcher that doesn't require us to flash the boot image? :(
Guest Buzing Bee Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 0.2 is out :( -- Add Host Mode Version -- Tweaked Scheduler -- Added NTFS module -- Added UTF8 -- Added pl2303 module haven't been able to test host mode and NTFS + pl2303 modules. so feedback is amazing ! :(
Guest JingleManSweep Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 Just installed 0.2... USB Host mode refuses to connect to wireless (says "Error") USB Slave mode does connect to wireless Also, CIFS support doesn't work. CIFSManager now reports "Device Not Found"
Guest Buzing Bee Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 humm ill have another look at those two tomorrow :( ill have to rebuild the wifi module for HOST :( but that will have to wait for tomoz :)
Guest Buzing Bee Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 Now uploading a new host mode version .... should work :( has _r2 in filename ..... if there are still issues ill address them tomoz :(
Guest Lennyuk Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 Just ran SmartBench 2011 and here are some figures for you Buzz 0.2 Productivity: 3116 Game: 2082 Stock Vega Productivity: 2887 Game: 2356 Stock Xoom Productivity: 2961 Game 2353 It seems the higher you get your productivity the lower the gaming index goes, however you can see that the vega on this kernel is much better than stock vega, and matches the xoom. (can't post a pic but run the app yourself!)
Guest jamao Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Same issue with 0.1 and 0.2 From 1.09 with addons V2 I flash the zip in recovery. All works ok in first boot, but when I shutdown and power on the vega, It does not startup, only the backlight. :( come back to stock rom
