Guest Pirttila Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 The camera is the same... Then why camera doesn't work if you put 3.2mp model ROM to 5.0mpix model?
Guest AsusFreak Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 (edited) Missed I something? N18 is out. Edited March 13, 2011 by AsusFreak
Guest Victor von Zeppelin Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 I believe that's the sampling rate in µs, therefore they're reducing the sampling frequency. Looks like they're going to use the default values that all the other ROMs I've seen use, (sampling_rate/up_threshold/down_threshold). Of course, DERP. Yes, I was thinking in Hertz, not ms. Silly me. Seems to make sense, then. Less= more battery life as there's less frequent polling
Guest Victor von Zeppelin Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Missed I something? N18 is out. Wait...that wasn't there this morning... Doesn't matter, still not significantly changed, I bet. We'd be better off waiting for the much improved N19 IF, of course, this was pre-built by Jacob or Tom, and it contains the fixes waiting to be merged, and they've only just released it now...
Guest lordofangels Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Missed I something? N18 is out. What's up with Rom Manager it's still stuck at N13 and no latest Rom listed?
Guest kunis6 Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 How? Today I looked at 14pm there was no

Guest Victor von Zeppelin Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 (edited) I installed it. :D I suppose the only way I can think of that easily states any changes is to go into the camera and see how far you can zoom in, or, indeed, if the zoom slider works correctly. EDIT: Just checked through, very very minor changes, nothing touching the kernel, looks to be the same, all in all.... Edited March 13, 2011 by Victor von Zeppelin
Guest Frankish Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Ja, "Bildschirm anlassen" muss ausgeschaltet und "Immer Näherungssensor" eingeschaltet sein. Proximity works perfect if you enable "Always use proximity" and disable "In Call UI" in Settings - Call settings Use Gingerbread Launcher by Eugene or Steven Lin, that's butter smooth. ADW Ex is good too, GO Launcher EX too. I am still testing right now, it will be included in the next nightly. 14 hours standby time, only GSM/3G on, no data, 14 hours, played something like 10-15 minutes in the terminal emulator and to take some pictures 100%-94%. On the old kernel I would have been at 80% if not worse. Look and drool: Let us know how your battery performs from 89 and lower. Measuring battery use from 100% is not a very good indication. Although I recognise its still an improvement for you!
Guest Rotmann Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 The big changes will be included in the next nightly, N18 does not bring anything major.

And I think the zoom is still a bit poor... :D
Guest rapidone Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 The big changes will be included in the next nightly, N18 does not bring anything major. +1 If you already have N17 installed, you can skip N18 and install N19 tomorrow.
Guest Victor von Zeppelin Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Zoom slider works in camera- and in video mode. And I think the zoom is still a bit poor... :D Ah yes, that last bit's the ticket. The new merges added in a further zoom to the camera slider at least, so yes, you're not running anything new, really. N19 is where it's at.
Guest MrEasy Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Ja, "Bildschirm anlassen" muss ausgeschaltet und "Immer Näherungssensor" eingeschaltet sein. (...) Danke :D
Guest kunis6 Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 if tomorrow will be the new nightly :D
Guest Saransh Agarwal Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Proximity issue completely fixed in n18
Guest tanivula Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Proximity issue completely fixed in n18 With or without the workaround?

Guest rekoiln Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 N18 seems to be up :D Or are my eyes deceiving me.
Guest Blues003 Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 I haven't used the CM since RC1 now. I'm thinking about returning to CM. My question would be: what is the state of the random reboots and random touchscreen freezes?
Guest alex1alex2alex3alex4 Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 N18 seems to be up :D Or are my eyes deceiving me. No, but it's not new, it's from last night's build which just appearts to have hit the mirrors late. http://mirror.teamdouche.net/?device=blade was unreachable for most of the day, for example, so ...
Guest The Soup Thief Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 (edited) @carlos below 2 Hours? Are you taking the micky? The problem with excessive battery consumption was when the phone was on standby (versus other roms on standby) With active use, the consumption was as per most of the other ROMs 12 hours on standby last night used about 40% battery Suggesting 2 hrs battery life is just a bit silly and very misleading for those curious about trying this excellent development Edited March 13, 2011 by The Soup Thief
Guest Carlos Abel Chavez Slim Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Have they fixed the battery lasting 2 hours?
Guest DonJamal Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 No, but it's not new, it's from last night's build which just appearts to have hit the mirrors late. http://mirror.teamdouche.net/?device=blade was unreachable for most of the day, for example, so ... so it hasnt got the app2sd and other fixes?
Guest Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 could be just wishful thinking but there seems to be improvement in video recording in N18. In all the nightly builds ive tried video recording was a little distorted And camera zoom working better. I cant say im seeing improvement in proximity sensor,as the first call i had blacked screen and ended up pulling battery as i could find no way to wake
