Thought the re-connect to wifi after sleep was fixed but still not working for me :(

I didn't even know it was meant to be fixed until you said it was. :D I'm not sure it even ever got logged as a bug did it?

In any case, it's no different for me in the latest nightly to any previous version of Cm7.

Also, it could be a blessing, Bluetooth is such a horrible technology.

Well, I definitely prefer that horrible technology over a SAR value the Blade blesses us with close to my brain :D

Using N19+bluetooth fix kernel, Just woke my phone (been asleep for about an hour) and within a few seconds Wifi reconnected OK.

Hi

I've just installed n19 with frankish's update zip, performed a full wipe just to be safe and everything seems to be working just fine.

Many thanks to all who have contributed to fixing things. My blade is unrecognizable from the bag of poo orange supplied. Keep up the good work :D

Usb storage turns on automatically as soon as it is plugged into the pc which unmounts the sd card and is quite annoying, is this a cyanogenmod/gingerbread thing or a small/tiny problem?

Err how about go check your apps :D

Do you have,

Winamp?

Doubletwist?

Any other new apps?

I know the top two have a function that auto mounts usb. Turn this offfffffffffffffffffff.

As much as SAR is also a pretty baseless standard, too. But I guess you're right. The best functioning use is headsets. Thank god file-transferring isn't more prevalent.

Hmm... seems like 2 steps forwards, and 3 back...

My findings, WiFi as noted won't reconnect, and UI freezes from time to time. Surprisingly, USB storage has to be done via recovery - green/orange robot has taken his bat home. And screen autobrightness actually worse than RC1 and still locks at max level until power cycled. Fixed the array values, but the high brightness lock is weird. Sunglasses weird.

Odd - but interesting.

The individual pixel lazers are a problem for me, tooo. Have you fidled with the advanced settings for it and turned on "Allow Light Decrease"?

I'm not sure most of those are steps backwards in this version? Wifi has never reconnected as well under Cm7 as Froyo, occasional UI freezes is a known blade/cm7 bug, usb storage works fine for me - though I do toggle it on with widgetsoid and not the android guy. Some change has caused Windows to want to re-install the phone driver and someone earlier noted they had to unplug and replug the phone in for it to work (I didn't have to do that personally)

Weird with WiFi. Apart from FLB, 2.2 ROMs connect and reconnect after "long" sleep on both my Blades in 3 locations with totally different routers. CM7 never has on any!

Interested to follow progress, of course.

UPDATE:

- Using Sygic Aura, the "pointer" is very choppy... you know what I mean... just like your car is "frogging" on the street... (GPS position refresh rate is very slow?)

- For the guys that claim GPS is working (fonix232 etc.): please test the GPS by switching it ON, then OFF, then ON again... and the problem will rise (maybe?) Thank you very much

That problem has been confirmed by now by:

Trademark-NRW / mELIANTE / That-Guy / LordKickapoo

And yet non of you have even bothered to open a bug report on the issue tracker. So how do you expect the developers to know about this issue and fix it?

http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issue...n=2&q=blade

Doesn't take long to do!

I have just seen on IRC that the most people are not aware that switching GPS off does not have any impact on battery life. Leave the damn thing on, I have never switched it off in my life. GPS will only drain battery if it's actively used by an app. GPS works fine here, no idea what you do wrong.

Echoed. It only kicks in when needed.

You can hardly blame them. It says it uses more battery underneath the tickbox for it lol

Appears to preclude issues with Nightlies....?? Or am I going senile?

I'm probably the one going senile, sorry guys. Just remembered that they don't want nightly issues on there... :D

BTW this may be a bug introduced from upstream as some Desire owners are saying GPS is broken on n19 for them too.

No probs, I've tried to add issues before today (constructively) without success.

- Wifi reconnects fine on my device, with linksys router at home and with Cisco APs at work.

- USB storage works, just had to reconnect it to the PC after powercycling the phone.

- autobrightness doesn't go to a lower level, as reported.

I Have 2 on there

1. Browser not doing incognito - fixes in 2 days

2. Touch screen on keyboard working badly - still not fixed

It's a Mixed bag - the device specific ones seem to take a bit longer.

I post the same question I posted some time ago, but did not get answered: what is the current state on the random screen freeze issue and the random reboot issue?

All works ok for me including proximity, bluetooth and battery issues - thanks to all involved :D
