yes, i know already, but the target phones are grayed out. Not selectable...

Install Market Enabler from market, set it to T-Mobile (US) and try again.

gmail can't be downladed in Germany. You'll need to find the apk elsewhere or temporarily fake your country with "Market Enabler".

When you are making a call, and in conversation with someone, one thing that I miss from the dialler screen is what is in the flb-froyo r10 ROM and that is the large red phone icon just under the assigned photo of the person you are talking to so that the call can be ended by pressing it. With this ROM there doesn't seem to be a "soft" button on the screen to end the call. I can "lift" up the dialpad, not sure that I would want to though.

I think that is part of the contacts.apk and I assume that I couldn't just use one from flb-froyo ROM to replace the one from this..?

Of course there is.

Excellent :D

Most appreciated, thanks.

I find N25 reluctant to re-connect bluetooth for music audio. If I re-start my car I sometimes have to disable/enable bluetooth on the phone for it to connect again.

Blues003 alerted me to this recently, but a LaucherPro update is in the works, that provides improvements in performance in Gingerbread. Yipee!

I keep having similar issue with all CM7 versions. I have to enter BT settings and click on the ("paired but not connected") car audio to reconnect every time. Weird... Not sure if it's listed amongst RC bugs though, will check now.

Edit: submitted issue as #3194.

It's been in the works for months now. I eventually gave up on the promises and moved to ADW EX.

Fede posted on his own forum around 4 days ago with these news. :D It's not the full re-write.

N25 GPS still causing shutdowns/reboots for me.

TFT, originally on B10. No overclocking. No Gapps, never logged onto googled. Full wipe. No apps running in background (except ofcourse usual Android AOSP background stuff like email, sms etc..). Below occurs regardless of overclocking, or not, and regardless of launcher type used (have tried it on ADW, Launcher Pro and Go Launcher EX).

Reproducible every time:

1. Go into settings--Location & security, enable GPS satellites.

2. Go into GPS Test and wait till you get one or two satellite locks.

3. Exit GPS Test, note GPS icon on status bar takes around 5-15secs to completely stop blinking.

4. Go into setttings--Location & security, disable GPS sateliltes.

5. Wait around 30mts and try and wake the phone.

6. If you don't wait long enough either the phone appears to be working fine, or reboots. It all seems time dependent.

7. Phone always found in shutdow state, have to press Power button to start up again.

Above is reproducible everytime without fail. :D

I have tried that yesteday and it worked. But today, on RC2, it did not. :( And they will not accept logcats if they are not on RC. Would you mind trying?

Don't have to. I was on RC2 myself (few version back now) and I can confirm it did not happen for me then either. However, without loading each nightly since RC2 and trying each one, I cannot confirm when this behaviour crept in.

EDIT: Just tried the experimental V6 kernal, by bl1nk.

At step3 the GPS icon now takes much longer to stop blinking before disappearing from the status line.

However, shutdown still occurs with this experimental kernel also.

Stupid question.

How do you make a logcat?. I want to try and record the skipping track music issue. If it is of any help, my music library is entirely class 8 FLAC. and the files it skips can be played on the phone.

Multiple ways. The easiest would be using aLogcat app.

It must be a card problem, I have tons of FLAC music, everything plays fine, no skips, etc. Using powerAMP though...

Installed N25. This ROM is really starting to look excellent. With Eugene373 launcher menus are fast and Angry Birds is surely faster with this rom than FLB Froyo.

Huge thanks to people who have been working with CM7!!

I hope touch screen and random crashes/reboots issues will be fixed (although haven't experienced them with N25 so far). Besides them, this ROM really rocks Blade.

I have reproduced your test and can confirm the shutdown. I timed the moment between turning off the GPS in step 4 and the shutdown (thank goodness the phone vibrates when it shuts down!) which was around 10 and half minutes on my phone. This was also after I went back to JJ9 to check the GPS (no shutdowns), then I reflashed to N25 to see if it cleared anything, but that was a waste of time...

My phone is B08, TFT (Truly LCD) with a 16GB PNY Micro SDHC Class 4.

Installed N25 today, done that (opened google maps instead of gps test), after +/- 5min the phone just shutdown, other than that seems a pretty great rom.

My device: ZTE Blade, 512 ram

I also have problems with GPS in N25 (yes, I did wipe)

In previous nightlies it worked but with interruptions (unstable signal during operation)

I also have the shutdown issue, I don't know if is the GPS's fault, it's very possible though.

I think we now have about 4 confirmation on the GPS 'issue' since my original posting.

We could always do something similar to what Steve Jobs recommended about the IPhone4 when told about the reception issue while holding the phone a certain way; i.e. Don't use GPS then the problem goes away <lol>.

This rom has come a long way in a very short time, I'm sure this GPS problem will get resolved soon also.

thanks to all contributors..

Eugene's launcher is a rocket but no additionnal functionnalities..

About a2sd or apps2sd i was wondering if you followed Rottman's advices..? I'll go for wbaw's partition mod once apps start to FC due to flashes....i stick to a2sd for the moment..

Restoring apps from 2.2 to 2.3 may be tricky, i've finally gave up and reinstalled from scratch, in addition on CM you have enough little issues without adding restoring ones.

AppBrain was nice, but now with market.android.com what's the benefit..?

In CM settings set applications to go internal if you want them in SD-EXT (once you've installed simple2ext and restarted), set on EXTERNAL they'll go on your FAT32 SDcard in .android-secure directory

CWM made ext2 partitions, i've changed it into ext3, dunno exactly what's the difference, i've read ext3 is advised so i made it

Hey, thinking of trying CM7 now as the reboot/touchscreen freezes are rarer, currently got 2.1.5.8 cwm installed, so to upgrade it to new cwm just flash it same way as a rom/theme?

also will 3.x.x.x restore any backups done with 2.x.x.x versions? just needa assurance on them before flashing again :D
