I had changed the density through editing build.prop and then wiping cache, dalvik etc. The dialer is marginally bigger but is still usable.

I think at the time of porting, if we re-size the images & png optimize them, then there may be a chance of fixing things instead of changing the default screen density. The original cyanogen mod resolution is higher and is meant for larger screen, therefore, if we just port and re-size it using screen density, the screen accuracy will take a hit as the resistive screen technology isn't designed that way. This is just a thought... I am not as experianced as ricky or rexchun... they know much better than me.

I'd just like to ask, those of you using his 2.3 ROM, what are the non-working fetures, and if I should wait for a stable version. (currently on rickywyatt 2.1 clean ROM).

create a backup system and backup sd card that is copy and paste everything from the SD card to computer, if you want to install a 2.3 rom. I am very pleased with Rom 2.3 the only thing that were reluctant to red and green button but there is no alternative to it. You will be try.

If you turn off the GPS and then turn on, the GPS will not work.

One thing i noticed with this rom different people are having different issues with the rom its self it all works accept for red and green buttons atm i find its best to reboot phone once fully installed works fine after that

First noticed that green-red buttons don't work - OK I can get used not to use them :D . Then I noticed that FM radio application was gone and installing some application from market failed because it can not find FM device. This is the third problem I noticed and frankly I'm now thinking returning to 2.1 just because of GPS :D Too bad, otherwise this 2.3 is working great, applications are *much* more responsive, I really had high hopes.

Unbelivable, you are right! If I turn on GPS and reset phone it is working properly until I turn it off again. After turning off once, it never recover until next restart! I can not imagine how you noticed that but thank you :D

I'm trying from parking space in front of my building (that is usually the spot where iGO is turned on :(). And for application - it's not hard either: start Google Maps and click "My location" :D

right basically the new release when it is released wil lhave red and green buttons function but for now everything works besides those buttons =]

guys, ricky and sebastian, i think there is a new? boot.img file for 2.3 that russians have modded, just checked their changelog and saw this:

Version 1.1 25.03.2011

Modified from boot.img Strabors to conserve battery <- this is important for all of us
