I am not adding this ROM to the known ROM's yet because of its different base offset of 0x02600000

We don't want people without Swedish Comviq 2.2 Blade trying this ROM.

This is a problem we should think about really...

they seem to of pulled the same trick with the V9 and Racer (that I know of)...

Ive just spent 40 minutes trying to explain to people why they cant just slap the new v9 2.2 rom on the older device without some changes....

I'm hoping greater minds (or at least less medicated than mine) can come up with a standard :D

Yes, seems like that. Almost all the files are the same size. Wifi files are different (improved?) though.

Yes, this is the main issue right now. We know repaircenters can upgrade phones so we need to get our hands on one of those upgrades. Tweaking the current TPT files to use 0x02600000 adress just won't be enough as there are more changes (RIL, camera etc...)

Do you have access to an officially upgraded (or new) swedish 2.2 blade? If so, then maybe we can dump the tpt files from that. Getting the official upgrade would be better & easier (if somebody leaks it), but it might not be necessary.

Ok that's interesting 'cause this has not happened before and I have used JJ, MCR, FLB, some Sebs roms, Finnish Fillyjonk, CM7 and Honeycomb rom.

I was just curious to see if this is better than JJ but I'm happy with CM7. :D

Next version will have the same hack to Phone.apk that JJ has so it will bypass the SIM lock check.

The camera lib is a bit more of a puzzle tho... unless the 'new devices' has a different camera from the 'old devices'?

Actually the real kernel for this rom have support for yet another camera chip so it's possible that the liboemcamera.so included expects this support in the kernel and does something stupid. I'm compiling a new kernel right now that is more similar to the original kernel meant to be used with this ROM. Perhaps the original camera lib will work with the new kernel.

I'll report back when I've tried it. It'll take a while as I'm compiling on an Intel Atom N270 (in a virtual linux machine). :D

Well, the new kernel broke compability with both the new and the old liboemcamera.so giving an error message instead of freezing/reboot. My guess is that they've made changes to the kernel sources that we currently doesn't have the source for so for now we're stuck with the old liboemcamera.so. Seems to work fine though.

I don't know much about how the offset works / is fixed - Is it just the size of the mbr?

to clarify, you can't use the unmodified swedish stock rom, but kallt has posted his fixed customised version that will work like any other rom.

so the version in post #1 will work fine, but the stock rom image in post #4 is only any use to developers or swedes with new (or upgraded) phones.

I've has this since the 16th and its really really (not meaning to exaggerate) stable I was on RLS1 since yesterday and updated to RLS2 yesterday. Thanks KK
