Guest cedge
When I first flashed this ROM RLS5, with a full wipe etc. the GPS locked pretty quick but the last couple of days it has taken ages to obtain a lock. I have tried Fasterfix setting UK as the server and a restart but it still seems to take a while. I was contemplating the wbaw fix but it seems to get a lot of reports that it makes no difference/gets worse so is anyone else having trouble with GPS and is there anythng else I can do before I even consider changing to a different ROM? Guest Anil k Solanki
Hi just installed this. So far I'm impressed - due to exams I couldn't be arsed sorting out the dreadful first release CM7 lol Hi oliverjh, Swedish Spring is great and good luck in your exams. As for your comment on CM7 being a "dreadful" first release, I find that statement wholly ungrateful. The devs at Cyanogen are doing a sterling job for free, so if it wasn't for folks like that we wouldn't have Swedish Spring. I have been a Mac dev for over 15 years, and I have to say this forum, this community, is truly remarkable. I have rarely come across a community so active and helpful to each other. Just my opinion. All this is now moot, but perhaps you could share what your original problem was and how you fixed it? May help out other folks with a similar issue. Anil. Guest DrDo
Have been using SS5 for some time now, and everything (batterly life, speed, gps, wifi) is vanilla except for one issue that I'm having and obviously wanna get rid of: when going online via 3G, the only thing that works is the browser - youtube app, market, skype are all nogo. Everything works great with wifi, so I really wonder if it's the rom, the provider or whatnot. My brother has another SS5ed Blade and his market works with 3G, so what could be the problem here? Any ideas how to get full internet access via 3G? Thanks in advance for any hints DrDo

Guest Anil k Solanki
Hi DrDo, I assume you are using RLS5, and your using the same telecom provider your brother is? If possible can you try his SIM in your handset and see if the problem persists. If it does do a nandroid back up then re-flash Swedish Spring, no need to wipe anything if you are re-flashing the same ROM. I am no expert but that is what I would try, and in that order. I hope this helps. Anil. Edited June 17, 2011 by Anil k Solanki
Guest DrDo
Do you have any firewall app, or advert blocker, or anything which tweaks internet? Thx for the suggestions, that was quick! Found the culprit now: it was the APN, which was set to a WAP access point, switched that to WEB and voila everything works as it should... Guest -+-
Bug, [please confirm]: Using SS RLS5. When playing videos usually low resolution ones, horizontal and vertical grid lines appear on the image as a lightening of the image. Youtube shows this but not with high res videos as much as low res ones. Changing the video resolution changes the position and density of the lines. Also problem shows on Go Weather as vertical stripes on the anim's. Suspect it is an error in the upscaler config which causes this. My phone is a TFT model. I know it messes up on Go Weather's full-screen anims. I will try and make some test videos then if I place them on a web-server we can have a common base. I think the lines are dependant on the video resolution. Thanks, M

Me me me. I only really noticed recently but has probably been a problem since I upgraded to Swedish Spring. Seemed to work alright in Japanese Jellyfish? The GPS tracking barely connects no matter how good visibility of the sky I'm getting. Might have to find a "GPS fix" add-on randomly somewhere and install it. If anyone else has a solution I'd very much appreciate a link! (reinstalling with a wipe didn't fix anything.)
