A ) It is a backup of everything on your phone into a folder on your sd card B ) Its for if you flash a ROM and something goes wrong or you dont like it you can easily restore from the backup, a bit like a windows system restore on a pc Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I went ahead and rooted my Tab. However I got stucked at the instruction "do a Nandroid backup". There is no backup option when I rebooted into recovery mode ! Is TitaniumBackup different from Nandroid backup just like an Image backup of your Win7 is different from file backups? I don't want to go ahead installing a new ROM until I know I have a copy of my stock ROM saved somewhere that I can restore later on in case I need to.
