Well firstly hello to all from a new member.

Have just received my n700 in the post this morning and first impressions GREAT!!!!!

I am very interested in using this as a sat nav and would like some advice please.

Can someone tell me if there is a free map/sat nav program that does not require sim card data use.

Try searching the Android Market for Locus Free. It can download map data via Wi-Fi and then works offline, no cell data usage needed.
