Receiving calls while using wifi

I can receive calls when the wifi is off, when I turn it on it can't receive calls any more. It shows 3g signal but not the H that shows it is connected to mobile data and all calls just go to voicemail. When I turn the wifi off the wifi data connects straight away and I can receive calls again.

Is there any way to fix this?

The latest Carphone warehouse 2.1. I am on O2 so maybe this rom would be better.
