Guest cdzo72 Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Good afternoon guys... well I have run into a brick wall and am just throwing my hands in the air with the GPS on my newly flashed Samsung Omnia II. It was working fine with 6.1, but now I can't get any signal with 6.5. I've tried all the registry hacks, installed cab files and everything else I have read here on the forum to get a signal to no avail. So I went back and uninstalled and deleted all the cab files and uninstalled Google Maps to get back to zero and then did a hard reset, so now I have nothing. My phone info... PDA: I8000NXXJJ1 CSC: I8000PROJJ1 Phone: I8000LWIIJ1 I hope that someone can help me!! Thank guys for all your input ahead of time and excuse a newbie for opening a new post. Like I said, I looked all over and haven't been able to get anywhere with it. Thanks!!
Guest cdzo72 Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 (edited) Ok guys, dunno what to tell ya.... I browsed all over the net and found all I needed to be able to install Garmin XT to my Omnia and since I live in Costa Rica I also loaded those maps... At first I could only get the satellites to lock on to me with the Garmin XT but then after a little while I tried using Google Maps again and finally got a lock.... I will mention that the satellite signal is not really strong, but it's there, enough to function, so if anyone has any ideas on what I can still do to improve my signal quality I am all ears... Thanks guys!! Edited March 23, 2011 by cdzo72
