Guest Bonbergol Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 Finally i tested Opera and now its my everyday browser...Thanks for the advice btw: do you browse with Opera Turbo On or OFF ? whats the difference?
Guest Michealtbh Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 Quite like the new Opera myself, but I cant get webpages to auto zoom. I have zoom set to 160%, but it doesnt zoom automatically, I have to double tap every time a web page loads. I'll stick with Miren unless Im missing something?
Guest weba Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 I wouldn't say you're missing something, it's just a preference of yours I guess. I personally like to see the entire page before I can know where to zoom to. I was a diehard Miren fan before trying Opera 11 last night; Opera leaves Miren in the dust.
Guest Michealtbh Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Yeah, I'm trying to get used to it. Is anyone using the Opera Turbo option? It continually fails to load pages for me
Guest Bonbergol Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Iam using it but didn“t see any difference
Guest heavyduty00 Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 r u guys talking about opera or opera mini??
Guest Azurren Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Finally i tested Opera and now its my everyday browser...Thanks for the advice btw: do you browse with Opera Turbo On or OFF ? whats the difference? Yeah, I'm trying to get used to it. Is anyone using the Opera Turbo option? It continually fails to load pages for me Opera Turbo routes images / web pages through Operas servers, compresses and reduces image quality then directs to the browser.. Can be faster if on 2g but otherwise its like surfing behind a non-anonymous proxy :D Quite like the new Opera myself, but I cant get webpages to auto zoom. Pinch to zoom is nice (Works better than the stock iPad 2 browser) but this never really bothered me But I can see how you could find this annoying, fair point B)
Guest mickey megabyte Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) i'm also a miren fan - it's super-lite, but also very capable. is there a simple way of stopping the screen sleeping while you're halfway through reading a webpage - it's very annoying when that happens. do i really have to go into main android settings to stop the screen from turning off while i'm browsing? and then have to go back and reset it afterwards? i suppose i could buy an app like tasker for this - but can tasker actually do this? anyone know any (preferably free) alternative? ---------------------------------- for ages i thought there was a little union jack on the bottom right corner - i've only just recently realised it's not! :D Edited April 4, 2011 by mickey megabyte
Guest ZEbbEDY Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 I'm big time opera fanboy on desktop pc but been using xscope on my droid devices if its that good I'll need to give it a bash but previous versions have let me down
