From the first post it looks like no blade specific fixes in 78 over 77 Edited May 19, 2011 by The Soup Thief

Guest tcpaulh Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 (edited) Are there any more details on this samsung RIL? Did a quick google but nothing. Edit: http://kan.gd/kht but still haven't found discussion of change. Edited May 19, 2011 by tcpaulh
Guest MidaMilunk Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 I think I wait for 7.0.4. Unfortunately, the only real problem is the GPS reboots for me, which affects all 7.0, but there seems to be no activity at all to mend thi at all :P Anyway, the fixed N76 works fine, but that GPS bug...
Guest tukkis Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 *sigh* N76fix, N77 and N78 Well, I have the same problem as before, I can't make call successfully. When I make a call, screen turns off and none of the buttons work! I can end the call only by removing the battery.. I can receive calls but again, screen turns off and none of the buttons work.. Last time calling worked for me was N70, I skipped N71-N75. Using White GEN2, not OLED
Guest emc02 Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 N78 works fine for me, everything seems to be ok, like in N74
Guest sej7278 Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 anyone tried n78 and know's what this samsung-ril thing is? http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,5413
Guest Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 anyone tried n78 and know's what this samsung-ril thing is? http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,5413 It maybe that samsung RIL is better than the RIL we have up till now,no idea really, just a wild guess.lol
Guest buneech Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 Probably because they started officially supporting Galaxy S devices.

Guest shastar Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 N78 works fine for me, everything seems to be ok, like in N74 Seems ok for me. No problems so far. Using gapps 2011.05.03.

Guest Grain Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 It maybe that samsung RIL is better than the RIL we have up till now,no idea really, just a wild guess.lol The Samsung RIL is for Samsung devices, not ZTE devices, and will not be used on the Blade. At best, that change does not change anything for the Blade; at worst, they introduced bugs with the change. I updated Status of CyanogenMod for the Blade.
Guest sepp192 Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 (edited) N77 on ZTE Blade update 1: On Battery since 3 hours Heavy usage Battery at 67% Wlan, 3G, calls, Messages are working. I experienced some issues with the GPS. There is no reboot but it wont start finding the satelites after a while. What I mean: I use Google Maps, Open Gps Tracker and navigon randomly everything works just fine. After a while I start one of those apps again and the GPS sign at the status bar shows up for about one second and than disappears again and no GPS information is avaiable. I am not sure if it is due to the combination of those apps or a N77 bug. Are all the changes from N77 to N78 known. Is it worth it to update? Ok I think the question got answered in the previous post :P ! Thanks Edited May 19, 2011 by sepp192
Guest hacki Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 jeah, same issue here with N77: after babbling for a few minutes, the screen stays black and i have to use the back key to get the screen to turn on and end the call. beside of that, wlan is sometimes not reconnecting correctly (icon is there, but no signal). thats all and a pretty "stable" rom; tryin N78 now...
