Guest Richard_Arkless Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 (edited) this is a complete rom with the fixes compiled in, you flash it as you would any regular nightly - and wipe dalvik cache. its not just a patch. I just checked and the libaudio is the same as the one in nightly 121, same with the kernel you sure you compiled those changes or does it change some other files? Also just tried out the screenshot feature, its okish just needs to rotate itself to the right way and also have an option in cm settings where you can set the hold menu button to take a screenshot Edited July 5, 2011 by Richard_Arkless

Guest wbaw Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 (edited) the screenshots from the blade come upside down as does the screen running through any app that allows u to view it on your computer, its a hardware issue One that could easily worked around by the devs though, it should just read the ro.sf.hwrotation=180 property & rotate it. Guest hedgepigdaniel Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 TomG has submitted a new kernel to gerrit based on the new 2.6.32 source from ZTE. source is here (20110624 is the new source, 2.6.32-zte is the old source). That patch also includes a new libaudio which is meant to fix reinitialisation problems (not sure what that means in practice). Additionally there is an patch to libcamera to exposure compensation. So one of the next few nighties might bring big changes (and possible a few temporary bugs).

Guest dadashi Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 can i flash this from N72 without a wipe?

Cool, softkeys too. Thankyou for sharing your work with us :)
Guest sej7278 Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 (edited) Cool, softkeys too. Thankyou for sharing your work with us :) no problem, just embarrassed i fscked up the previous build for 64 people who downloaded it! (and looking at it, 14 people downloaded this new one before it finished uploading at 8am - hope they checked the md5sum) and yes i guess it could be flashed over n72 without a wipe, but such a jump its probably worth a wipe (gen2 only). Guest admanirv Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 I'm running nightly 121,why do we need these camera audio patches? What's exactly wrong? Can I not apply them via flashing in CW? But I take it these changes may make it into the next nightly or one very soon?? Thanks
Guest lordofangels Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 (edited) No Blade specific fixes in this build. Screen shot included in CM. Official N122 md5sum: 2475815308776296457ce67d7ba507ef Edited July 5, 2011 by lordofangels

Guest admanirv Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 Because the camera is crap, and the audio drains battery in standby from N115 onwards. Thanks Why is the camera crap? Quality? Can I get a CW zip to apply these two fixes?
Guest Waws Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 (edited) Thanks Why is the camera crap? Quality? Can I get a CW zip to apply these two fixes? The images are too dark. Does anyone have a link to the correct working files. Thanks

Guest Simono Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 I saw that, but screenshot is 180 rotated :)
Guest Maxxo Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 I saw that, but screenshot is 180 rotated :) Is there a proper app which can turn them around? Don't want to do it via PC

Guest sej7278 Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 didn't there use to be a green viewfinder box thing on the camera app? also does anyone know what the new focus settings should be - i noticed there's a touch to focus change but don't see how to use that - pressing the screen seems to do nothing - well, i think it does nothing, it may focus on what's under your finger but i'm not sure. and the settings in the camera app have pre-focus or long-focus, both unticked by default and i can't see the difference there either.

I think the touch to focus applies only to other devices that support focusing a particular place in the image. Pretty sure the blade doesn't support that. long focus does what it sais - you use it like an slr. hold down the power button until its focused and release it when you want to take the picture. It means you can decide exactly when to take the picture rather than being at the mercy of the autofocus. pre focus doesn't seem to do anything for me either. Edited July 5, 2011 by hedgepigdaniel
Guest hedgepigdaniel Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 also I noticed the zoom gets applied to the preview but not to the final picture
Guest sej7278 Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 also I noticed the zoom gets applied to the preview but not to the final picture i think that's software zoom on the viewfinder, not optical on the lens as its slow as hell to render. i've also noticed that when focusing it doesn't make the clicking/cranking noise anymore like it used to (sound of the lens moving).

I had forgotten about that noise - I can't remember if I used to hear it on my blade or an older digital camera... anyway its good I guess, The focus works well.
Guest nio25 Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 (edited) i noticed a strange behavior with the proximity sensor,in the new rom from sej7278.the screen seems to wakes up from the power button and not from the proximity... Edited July 5, 2011 by nio25
