Guest targetbsp Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 You guys don't eject? :) You know those posts about the rom trashing SD cards? I'm beginning to have an idea as to why that might be...

Guest CaptainSpectacular Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 You guys don't eject? You know those posts about the rom trashing SD cards? I'm beginning to have an idea as to why that might be... ;) Honestly I never unmount from computer any of my USB or SD storages. I never had a single issue. I think news computers can handle better "hot plugs" than older do. Anyway I never see that the orange droid say to unmount from the computer first too. :D Nice to see that devs have already found the issue. :)
Guest zaphan58 Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 I've upgraded from the latest RC to the latest nightly and I'm currently bricked. I updated as usual from ROM Manager, it flashed through clockwork and when it reboots it goes straight back to Clockwork. Any ideas why? I tried flashing again through Clockwork but nothing changes. Once it flashed with error 0 and then when I tried again it said it flashed ok but it still reboots to clockwork. Should I try factory reset and then flash again?
Guest Pondlife Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Did you check the md5sum? Do the wipes?
Guest sej7278 Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 (edited) Anyone fancy yet another build for tonight?! Here's my nightly 125 with the following patches:new kernel/libaudio patch 4: http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,6495 (seems to have fixed usb eject reboots)screenshot rotatation: http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,6547new libcamera: http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,6496soft buttons :blink:here, so just browse the directory, md5sums and a link back to this thread are there too. Currently we have:update-cm-7.1.0-RC1-Blade-KANG-signed-20110707-n125plus.zip (as above)update-cm-7.1.0-RC1-Blade-KANG-signed-20110707-n124plus.zip (old kernel, n104 libaudio, libcamera, screenshot rotate, softbuttons)libaudio-libcamera-20110706-signed.zip (flashable update for regular nightlies to revert to n104 libaudio, new libcamera)These might not stay there forever as when things get merged they won't be necessary. Guest Pondlife Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Is it ok to go straight from your n122plus to that? If so I'm there
Guest sej7278 Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Is it ok to go straight from your n122plus to that? If so I'm there  yes - i'd recommend n125+ but if you don't get on with that you can go with n124+ which is probably quite similar to n122+ (or take a nandroid backup before you flash).
Guest KACE_231 Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 yes - i'd recommend n125+ but if you don't get on with that you can go with n124+ which is probably quite similar to n122+ (or take a nandroid backup before you flash). Any chance you could merge the GPS fixes (unofficial) for future self-compilations?

Thanyou sej, downloading now. Really grateful for the softkeys feature, just wish CM would add softkeys as optional just like the other tablet tweaks we already have.

I stopped adding in the gps fix since using the new kernel, and not had any issues, no fc and tracking seems to be working ok so far. not used heavily though (will tomorrow)

Are the soft buttons removable by any chance?
Guest Pondlife Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Well you can have them not appear on the screen if that's what you mean, if you mean uninstall them not so sure.
Guest k0zmic Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Are the soft buttons removable by any chance? Look in Cyanogenmod settings, I think it's under tablet tweaks.
Guest rockstarszzzz Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Well you can have them not appear on the screen if that's what you mean, if you mean uninstall them not so sure. How do you do them?
Guest rockstarszzzz Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Look in Cyanogenmod settings, I think it's under tablet tweaks. I think it' not. It will only give 2 options - to place them to left or right. Unless I din't look well :s
Guest Pondlife Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 (edited) Look in Cyanogenmod settings, I think it's under tablet tweaks. Yeah it is, "choose soft-buttons" and then deselect them all. This is based on 122plus as I've not got 125 downloaded yet, so hope it's the same Edited July 7, 2011 by Pondlife
Guest admanirv Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 What is KANG? I believe he was the brain thing in the teenage mutant ninja turtle cartoon

Guest k0zmic Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 I believe he was the brain thing in the teenage mutant ninja turtle cartoon  Don't forget Kang and Kodos from Futurama.
Guest maTTewCZ Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Seriously, can someone explain me, what is KANG?
Guest rockstarszzzz Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Yeah it is, "choose soft-buttons" and then deselect them all. This is based on 122plus as I've not got 125 downloaded yet, so hope it's the same Thanks for that - it works with 125+ too!
Guest sej7278 Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Yeah it is, "choose soft-buttons" and then deselect them all. This is based on 122plus as I've not got 125 downloaded yet, so hope it's the same that's right for n125 too. by the looks of it i could disable them all by default by changing these all to false: <bool name="cm_default_show_soft_home">true</bool> <bool name="cm_default_show_soft_menu">true</bool> <bool name="cm_default_show_soft_back">true</bool> <bool name="cm_default_show_soft_quick_na">true</bool> but that would still leave the option to re-enable them in tablet tweaks. this way i could compile in support for them, but not show them by default, so everyone's happy.
