Guest Simono Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 i download it ... and how do i install it??? dude thanks for helping me!!!! thanks a lot Just flash it like ROM from recovery.
Guest Anil k Solanki Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 N135 on my Blade, but to fast to say some about it. All saw what is added to this build :). Now not yet build in "screen lock delay" only switch ton on/off slider if pattern/PIN/security paswword i set. From some time I use this app DelayedLock for "screen lock delay" and of course wait when it will be build in on CM7. Hi Simono, no screen lock delay? Damn shame, will have to wait till they build it back in. I have tried other screen lock delay apps from the market but they never worked 100% of the time. Thanks for the heads up. Anil.

Guest reluctant_traveller Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 Take that Vision! We're coming for you Incredible! If you are using an edited build.prop so that yiou can install/run gameloft games, will that incorrectly update the installation stats!? Yeah, yep I think it might, therefore Blade is probably a few hundred if not thousand higher :/
Guest jurrasstoil Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 So, is there any reason to go through the hassle of a full wipe to upgrade from N88 to N134+ at the moment? The only problem i have with N88 at the moment are random reboots about once a week.
Guest targetbsp Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 (edited) Benchmark comparison of old CM7 kernel vs new one. CM7 New kernel overclocked to 710 Antutu - 1699 Neocore - 42.2 CM7 old Kernel overclocked to 710 Antutu - 1551 Neocore - 39.7 Antutu is an all round benchmark which breaks the score up in a similar way to Quadrant pro - but is free. Neocore is a GPU benchmark. Each score is an average of 3 or 4 runs depending on the variation between runs. The new kernel is quite a bit faster as well as running cooler and having GPS reboots fixed. Edited July 18, 2011 by targetbsp
Guest simonckenyon Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 am i correct in thinking that the current kernel is tom giordano's 20110623 kernel? i want to add dm_crypt and want to make sure i build the correct one. thanks

Yeah, yep I think it might, therefore Blade is probably a few hundred if not thousand higher :/ I am actually. I just changed the build.prop for N135, rebooted and pressed 'Preview Data' and it's still 'Blade' so the stats are probably reliable enough.

There have been some improvements since N88, but considering we will go through yet another kernel change in a few weeks you might aswell wait until then to upgrade,

Guest stealthyboss Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 which cm is the most stable, what one should i download
Guest Richard_Arkless Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 which cm is the most stable, what one should i download Please search as this has been asked before, the latest nightly has most things fixed except wifi battery brain which can temporarily be fixed by turning off the wifi before you put it to sleep

Guest qwerty_29 Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 known problem. no workaround apart from not using it (3g instead) and turning off when not using. works fine for me. straight after a sleep the battery % is wrong. often when waking up (overnight) you will see 0% battery drain. then after using for 5mins, it will drop by 5-10ish% then level off. this is effectively catching up with the battery loss over night. on average you lose about 0.5% per hour in proper sleep. does your phone wake up by pressing menu, home, back etc? if so is not sleeping. wipe caches. and fiddle around to see if any app is keeping blade awake..... meh. average ;) I can confirm that stock bluetooth share app does not work (when I want to send a file! It DOES work to receive) at least for me! Here's how I reproduce the error (Stop of application Bluetooth Share (com.android.bluetooth process)). 1 - open stock file explorer; 2 - search for any image, per example; 3 - long press on the file; 4 - choose the option "Bluetooth"; 5 - the Force Close happens. Can anyone else confirm this?? As for the Blade being kept awake, thanks for the tip hogobosslives! In fact, the phone DOES wake up when pressing any key (and not only when pressing the power button)... Am I the only one with this issue? What should I do to stop this? This really is a battery drainer... Should I re-install the ROM? or move to a recent one? Am actually on N131... Thanks!

Hi qwerty_29, I was reading your post and thought "that's weird, the phone wakes up from any button". I tried it and lo and behold, my phone turned on. So I had a poke around Settings>Cyanogenmod settings>Input settings> under the buttons settings, I had the Trackball wake checked. So I unchecked it. Rebooted and my phone didn't wake when I pressed the Home, MENU or the Back key. Weird definitely, a fluke most possibly. Have a play in those settings and report back please. I'm on 131 too, and I don't believe this possible screen wake anomaly is a power drain. I checked last night before bed, I had 51% remaining, when I woke it was 46% after 7.5 hours of sleep. Sorry I don't have definite solution to your wake issue. But flashing another nightly will in my opinion possibly swap one set of problems for another different set. Just my opinion. Anil.

Actually, I had that unchecked, but I guess classic "problem-solver" reboot was missing! Thanks for the tip! ;) Anyway, please check on my original post... because judging by this graphic, my blade was definitely kept awake overnight... :/ As for your opinion regarding ROM actualization, I think I do agree with you, and will wait for a Nightly with significant improvements (once WiFi battery drainage is no more, this ROM will be more than perfect for me) before a new flash... ;) By the way, given the fact that you're also on N131, can you please try to replicate the bluetooth issue I described? Guest VictorMartinez Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 which launcher is better for build 135 ?? i use go launcher ex and i think is much metter than ADW ... and i dont know why the people who make the cm7 dont use go launcher
Guest ididmytime Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 It's not like it's much effort. You press a button in Rom Manager, go make a cup of tea and when you come back it's done! Only on the paid version can you download nightlies as i'm sure you're aware. Not everyone likes to update purely for the sake of updating, and haven't found an easy way to update and restore all apps/contacts like the rest of us. I can understand it in the early days, but those phone crippling bugs are long gone. For me, I'm still on n111, my phone is running at 480mhz flawlessly with a great battery life I'm content enough to never update to another nightly again. Looking forward to the new kernel, and will test out the next RC.
Guest k0zmic Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 dont know why the people who make the cm7 dont use go launcher AFAIK GoLauncher is proprietary so it can't be included.

Probably you smtp server enforces strict FQDN in HELO. Not sure what CM7 uses as a hostname for the device, but presumably it's being rejected by plusnet.pl's SMTP. If I'm right changing the hostname of your phone to a properly formatted name should fix the issue (RFC2821 section 4.1.1.1)

Upgraded from N128 to N135 today and mine doesn't wake with the Menu button or Volume Rocker. Maybe you have an app keeping the phone awake?

Hum, unchecking those and rebooting did the trick for me... did you try rebooting?
