Guest targetbsp Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 (edited) OK, I made a tasker to change my cpu speed and it flashed up with superuser and worked fine. Have you tried clearing data for the superuser app maybe? As an aside, does that XDA stuff provide any noticeable benefit? Surely all that's doing is replicating the behaviour of the governors? Guest sej7278 Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 As an aside, does that XDA stuff provide any noticeable benefit? Surely all that's doing is replicating the behaviour of the governors? that's what i thought - seems a bit pointless! perhaps it was written before cm7 had all the overclocking stuff built-in, or its for other roms.
Guest targetbsp Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 It actually sounds very much like the smartass governor if I correctly recall the chat around that when it first arrived on the scene here in how it limits the max frequency whilst asleep. So I suspect your life would be easier to just set that in the CMSettings. :)
Guest magillos Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 (edited) I noticed that my blade doesn't sleep if I turn on gps. Turning it off makes no change; still no proper sleep and I can wake up device with menu, back and home button. Could anyone check it out? Just turn on gps than disable it and wait until screen goes off or press power button. Now press back or menu button to wake up device. Blade should keep sleeping. Mine wakes up. I'm on nightly 152. Guest targetbsp Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 Mine seems to sleep fine if I switch it off whilst the GPS is being used by maps or after I have used it. Could be the fault of the app you are using the GPS with?
Guest magillos Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 (edited) Could be the fault of the app you are using the GPS with? It happens even without using any gps app. If I disable gps it causes my blade not being able to sleep. Edited August 6, 2011 by magillos
Guest targetbsp Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 Not sure why mine sleeps and yours doesn't but if you mean it sleeps fine if you leave the GPS on then you may as well do so. The GPS is only used as needed even if it's enabled permanently so there's no reason to turn it off unless you want to deprive an app that would otherwise use it of its use.
Guest k0zmic Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 The title of this thread needs changing, we're on 2.3.5 now :D.
Guest targetbsp Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 That's gotta be a good reason for us to start a new thread. :D

Guest magillos Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 if you mean it sleeps fine if you leave the GPS on then you may as well do so. I guess I will do that; as long as I keep it active there is no issue. The problem is that if the problem occurs turning gps off or on doesn't make any difference and blade can't sleep.

Flash it in ClockworkMod.

I'll give it a whirl and see how it goes Just to clarify, this should fix the screen not turning on problem during a call. I'm not sure about the other screen problem. Edited August 6, 2011 by k0zmic

Guest k0zmic Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 OK. Also how do i delete ADW Launcher too as i am fighting it quite laggy especially in menu screen? Thanks Just install another Launcher from the Market e.g. LauncherPro and press Home and Select the new one.
Guest bob100 Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 Just install another Launcher from the Market e.g. LauncherPro and press Home and Select the new one. Ok i've done that, however how do i completely remove ADW because when i try to delete it in applications there is no delete button?
Guest k0zmic Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 Ok i've done that, however how do i completely remove ADW because when i try to delete it in applications there is no delete button? Download ES File Explorer and go into Settings and put it into Root Mode. Navigate to /system/app and delete ADW.
Guest bob100 Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 Download ES File Explorer and go into Settings and put it into Root Mode. Navigate to /system/app and delete ADW. I'm getting a message saying ADW cannot be deleted :-s
Guest targetbsp Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 (edited) I'm getting a message saying ADW cannot be deleted :-s I use Titanium to remove system apps I don;t want. It works fine. However, it's not that great an idea to delete it to be honest because if you ever wipe the phone for any reason (without installing another rom) you'll then have no launcher. The same goes for the stock keyboard. I realised this the hard way while my friend was stood next to me dying of laughter. :D As first suggested above, if you don't want it, just don't use it. Use another one instead and forget ADW is there. Edited August 6, 2011 by targetbsp
Guest sm4tik Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 I'm getting a message saying ADW cannot be deleted :-s I use Titanium Backup, simple and clean. An app you should install anyway :)
Guest androrphin Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 Is anyone else getting "(process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." when trying to update via Market? I am running N152.
