I'm wondering if somebody can help me. Although it is nothing major, its more personal preference. If I want to remove the screenshot option from the power menu, could I do this simply by copying a few files from the rc1 build, such as framework-res.apk and framework.jar, and removing the .apk from the app folder prior to installation?

The framework is under constant changes so even if you would get rid of the menu item, you'd most likely (99.9% sure) break something else. Just look at the changelog and count the "android_frameworks_base" entries :)

I had a feeling it wouldn't be that simple lol any recommendations on how and what to modify to remove it? I'm going to install n156 and I intend on leaving it until some specific blade fixes are put into a nightly, hopefully that being the. 35 kernel being merged. Thanks for your help btw, much appreciated.

After selecting your non North American region, manually set the tuner as high as it goes and seek downwards. Currently this is the only workaround I know of if you want to use auto seeking.

Thanks for that workaround. Hope it will be fixed soon.

Hi Guys.

My promised feedback on CM7 nightly 142+ (by SEJ7278).

MY USER PROFILE (noob, but fan biggrin.gif)

This is my very FIRST Android phone, I received it in mid March/2008 with a v2.1 Eclair stock firmware and after 2/3 weeks I rooted it with "Universal Android Root", upgraded to Gen2 and installed CM 7.1 RC1 with WBAW's all-in-one "CyanogenMod 7.1 RC1 Gen1 to Gen2 Upgrade TPT".

Used the phone like this until the end of July/2008 when I instaled the above mentioned nightly version 142+ that I'm using up to this date.

BruxoMor, you might want to correct your calendar... You have a Blade since 2008!?:lol:

P.S. - Please don't take ofense... I'm just kidding, ok?

No offense taken TRIPOV, I meant 2011 of course - edited and corrected.

Thx

it has worked for months, but it disappeared in n151 and isn't back yet

i think there's a major rework of the statusbar coming down gradually, this is probably the first casualty of if not all being merged yet.

I think it's something you'd have to change in the source and recompile the whole framework. I'm not that much of an expert, but I just had a look at the code and see no simple way out. You might want another opinion on this before taking it as a fact though :)

Oh sorry, I just double checked and you're right :) I guess I hadn't paid much attention to it now that it was working.

Thank YOU sm4tik, tried it out and it works.

One more question concerning the FM radio that maybe you or someone else can answer:

- How to memorize the radio stations?

I keep pressing the buttons on top of the frequencies dial (the ones with a + sign) but nothing happens.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Hi Ciels, I'm running the latest nightly, N156, and I have no Wi-Fi issues. This morning I tested the Wi-Fi hot spot feature with a new ANDROID tablet, and that worked fine too.

Which version of Cyanogen are you running?

Anil.

Using Nightly 152 and gmail version 2.3.5

Hi Bob, I'm running N156 and Gmail version 2.3.5, I went into Menu>Settings>Sound> And had Vibrate set to Always. I sent an email to myself and it worked perfectly. Although I felt the vibrate was a little soft for my tastes. I checked in the Cyanogen settings and couldn't see anything in there that might help you.

If I were you, I would download N156, reflash that and Google apps after you have wiped the Dalvik cache in Recovery. It may solve this weird glitch.

Anil.

If someone have the same problem with me please give a star at this issue

Not plugged into any power source.

The only rom that fixes this is GSF currently, with an active SIP account setup.

Either switch, or download an app to keep the phone awake.

my wifi works how i want it work.

it turns off when i turn off the screen (unless it's downloading something when turning off the screen and it will then turn off after its finished)

and then re-enables it withing 10 seconds of unlocking the phone.

perfect.

That may be perfect for you, but for others that is a huge bug.
