Guest Cow_007 Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 Question I deleted partition/cleared cache in clockworks Then isntalled cm_blade_full-165.zip rom, right after i put on google apps (7.1.0-RC1-Blade) from here http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_Version#Google_Apps Everything working fine, but i dont see google 'MARKET' app nor google maps :o Someone assist me please? I have tried the latest rom, 169 as well still same thing. What am i doing wrong. I have 26 app icons in my programs drawer, but google stuff missing you installed the wrong file. first nightly you did right (165) then you installed rc1 (not google apps). at the bottom of that page you can see cyanogen mod 7 google apps. get that instead. install.

Guest k0zmic Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 (edited) Thanks for your N169 build Sej, running well here. I also followed the instructions on the bug tracker page for the Wi-Fi and changed the settings.db thing so it can turns off after a minute and it seems to have re-connected 100% so far. I've uploaded the settings .db file where Wi-Fi is set to turn off after a minute (rather than the standard fifteen). Just push it or copy and paste it to here: /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/ You can also change the timeout period yourself by editing the line 'wifi_idle_ms'. Credit goes to connogriofa for the instructions over on the bug tracker page here: http://code.google.c...ail?id=3157#c66 Download: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6423051/settings.db Edited August 22, 2011 by k0zmic

Ah, I assumed it didn't, oh well . Yeah, mines usually okay the vast majority of the time but it seems just that fraction more reliable now (so far). I haven't found that issue that's on your sisters phone though.
Guest sej7278 Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 I haven't found that issue that's on your sisters phone though. ok, so its my sister's phone not the usb debug patch then (which has just been merged) thanks.
Guest Schwinni Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 My question is do I have to uninstall the Market downloaded gapps first (so I don't get duplication)? Yes, uninstall them. Or will clockwork recovery do that for me? No, the script only deletes old versions in /system. Clockwork can "uninstall" things when you wipe data / factory reset though. ;)
Guest leszekpap Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 there will be a lot of changes in new nightly - something important ? I`m on gsf now but I want to switch to CM7 :)
Guest shezar Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 there will be a lot of changes in new nightly - something important ? I`m on gsf now but I want to switch to CM7 :) Nothing too drastic, but the FM app will be tweaked a little, and other small changes. Stay on GSF for a few more days, that won't hurt :)

Guest marcodassi Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 (edited) N171 is out :) Anybody figured out how to work with the new proximity sensor calibration app? Edited August 23, 2011 by marcodassi

Guest Nick Rhodes Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 so in a few more days there should be something ...BIG ? :) According to the last Cyanogen blog post, they are in a soft freeze preparing to release the next 7.1 release candidate. Cheers, Nick.
Guest sej7278 Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 According to the last Cyanogen blog post, they are in a soft freeze preparing to release the next 7.1 release candidate. yeah i read that and thought how nice it will be to be able to report bugs now whilst we're stable-ish, before they start merging the 2.6.35 kernel (that zte have a week to provide us with) and all hell breaks loose!
Guest k0zmic Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 N171 is out :) Anybody figured out how to work with the new proximity sensor calibration app? Erm, just open the app, press Calibrate sensor and it should be done. It works fine for me.

Guest Psyloid Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 Running N166 for some days now, everything is candy. Few weird things happened though : 1. Wifi did not reconnect one time 2. when i plug in the charger and the battery is less than 25% the phone reboots I can live with that though

Wifi did not reconnect one time 2. when i plug in the charger and the battery is less than 25% the phone reboots I can live with that though The first one is a known and (so far) unresolved issue. And you'll notice that you can't send files via Bluetooth in that build. Try N171, much has changed in it.
Guest targetbsp Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 (edited) The wifi reconnection is actually fixed in a test rom on the bug tracker. It's just not made it through to the code review and nightlies yet. Also, you can work around it in all current builds by setting the wifi sleep to never. And if you value battery, using an app to turn it on and off. I use tasker for the purpose. Edited August 23, 2011 by targetbsp
