Guest Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 (edited) you are junkies needing your fix lol :D We all love to upgrade. I wonder if flashaholic should officially be clased as an addiction ? We could get 500mg of clockworkmod daily as treatment.lol Edited October 22, 2011 by Guest
Guest dibbles Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 Can you just imagine how it would go in a support group... "Hi my name is jikobutsu and I am addicted to flashing..." Somehow it just doesn't sound right..!
Guest cool400 Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 yes, as the 1ghz snapdragon nexus one (google's own phone!) is so similar to the 600mhz arm6 blade made by some dodgy chinese outfit lol! looking at the video it seems the touchscreen doesn't work, neither does wifi lol! oh yeah, i can run macosx on my blade, its just that nothing works, but hey it kind of boots the kernel :P Hi sej, where can I download your ROM? On the download-site I only see a readme.html and a softbuttons.patch Best regards cool400
Guest targetbsp Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 Hi sej, where can I download your ROM? On the download-site I only see a readme.html and a softbuttons.patch This is Sej's latest one (n220plus): http://www.multiupload.com/SPQFN5XZJ0
Guest targetbsp Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 Includes all the changes from here: http://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=blade Which would make it approx N232/233 Plus these: http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#q,status:open+project:CyanogenMod/android_device_zte_blade,n,z No MIUI battery or softkeys I've only tested it as far as confirming it boots and that the unmerged patches were included. But I've used several previous compilations from the same build environment with no issue. It will be here once it finishes uploading which will be approx 13:35 UK time. (about half an hour after this post) http://www.windows98.co.uk/downloads/update-cm-7.1.0-Blade-KANG-signed.zip Someone check the upload completed OK before everyone starts flashing! :D It's 94,994,775 bytesMD5: D9F8629618EBFF71585AF638D0DC5AF7 It's only available whilst my bandwidth lasts. (17gb remaining) Posting this in advance cause I'm away for an hour or so now and I know some of you addicts are desperate. :D

Guest targetbsp Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 (edited) How much does building a ROM take? The initial setup is challenging if you don't know Linux (which I don't). If you're a Windows user you'll spend some time in google trying to work out why things aren't going to plan but it's satisfying when you get there! Once you've got it all setup though, to update it and recompile newer versions is easy. Just one command to update it and another to compile it. The compiling can take a good while though. I do it in Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit in Virtual Box. The virtual machine needs at least 1.7gb of ram and 25gb of disk space. The initial download of the source code takes a long time - it's about 10gb! The guides to doing it are here: http://wiki.cyanogen...ogenMod_(Linux) and for the Android SDK/UDEV bit here: http://android.modac...-and-the-blade/ Edited October 22, 2011 by targetbsp

I want to do my own kang's just because I want to add patches I want Edited October 22, 2011 by Maxsas360
Guest targetbsp Posted October 22, 2011 Report Posted October 22, 2011 Yeah and Ubuntu needs 4 or 5gb then it seems to use about 3.5 gb during the first compile. Ends up using a touch over 20gb of drive space. There's stuff missing from the instructions that's probably obvious to a Linux user but not to a Windows user. Stuff like source .bashrc after updating it and apt-get update after the maverick partner thing for java. Heck the first time I did this I typed out apt-get install and then every single package on a separate line. No-one told me I could do them all at once lol.
