Guest jackal-sk Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Where is burstlam and his new kang, I need it! :D
Guest targetbsp Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 (edited) I tried some 192k MP3's in Poweramp and it seemed fine. Going to be upgrading them to 256K AAC's soon though so I'll have to try them again then. I may have no Apple products to make use of iCloud but I'm willing to pay for iTunes Match to avoid the hassle of having to re-rip all my songs! I guess I could use tasker for that if needed. Bump the min cpu to 245 if poweramp is running. Edited January 20, 2012 by targetbsp
Guest eucurto Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 i have always set the min speed to 122Mhz without any problems maybe there are problems with highly bitrate mp3s, but seems that i don't have one of them ;) only happens to me if i have wifi on at the same time.
Guest targetbsp Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 only happens to me if i have wifi on at the same time. Ah, I turn wifi off with the screen which would be why I'm OK i guess!
Guest I900-Nutzer Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 even if, why you want to do it ? Because Burstlam's Kernel support 2-Way PCM Stream Call recording
Guest SpeRator Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 How does TOGGLE 2G work ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=739530 I install it via cwm and can set the preferences in the APP but when screen is off it is always in 3G.

Guest targetbsp Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Mine did that the first time after using Rom Manager after updating to that version. I think it's a bug in that version. It worked from then on.
Guest hankhandsome Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Yes, I use SmartAssv2. You can actually do it from CM Settings -> Performance -> CPU Settings. You don't need No Frills. see now i didn't know that :)
Guest sej7278 Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Because Burstlam's Kernel support 2-Way PCM Stream Call recording  try the kernel from here its untested, but i've edited the two makefiles and added the vocpcm.c file (as well as the cpu/wifi undervolt) # modified: Makefile # modified: arch/arm/mach-msm/acpuclock.c # modified: arch/arm/mach-msm/board-zte-blade.c # modified: arch/arm/mach-msm/qdsp5/Makefile # # Untracked files: # arch/arm/mach-msm/qdsp5/vocpcm.c its up to you to get it onto your phone.

Sej - you are my hero :D I packed your kernel frome above in the original boot.img, installed it on my blade and: 2way-recording works! :) The perfect kernel (for me ;-): cpu/wifi undervolt + 2way-recording. Hopefully you will include this patch in your future releases/compiles! BIG THX!

BIG THX! great, if it works i'll probably do a complete rebuild in the morning. could you post your repacked boot.img for people who can't wait, as i found you can't just adb push the kernel, you need a complete boot.img btw, what app do you use to do the recording? i wonder how we get tom_g to incorporate these fixes into his kernel for cm9..... Guest raverrr Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 what is 2way-recording? recording calls
Guest sej7278 Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 (edited) recording calls lol, good answer! :D does it work with regular calls or is it just skype and other voip clients? what app do you use? anyway, here's my build with the cpu/wifi undervolting and 2-way-recording kernel, as well as the usual miui battery bar and softbuttons. usual place (can someone mirror please?) md5sum: c5e601cb3cf799eb1bbc9cd0f3605040 update-cm-7.2.0-RC0-Blade-KANG-21jan-signed.zip Edited January 21, 2012 by sej7278

Good Morning! Sorry, already had sweet dreams when you posted this (... could you post your repacked boot.img for people who can't wait ...) For call-recording (which works perfect with regular phone calls with this patch) CallRecorder is a useful app ...
Guest targetbsp Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 i had to remove my upload as it had 400 downloads or so in a day, i thought nobody read this thread anymore lol! somebody mirrored it on here, i hope it wasn't to megaupload :o And according to my logs, 332 people downloaded the kernel alone in a day. We're still going strong around here. :)

Hope Tom's still lurking around :D @sej: You could send the the diffs to Tom and see what he says? Edited January 21, 2012 by sm4tik
Guest brickornot Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 1. How to check if undervoltage is really working ? that it really changed mV ? 2. what about this app ?: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=829731 3.burstlam rom has only chinese and english languages, how can i add polish ?
Guest targetbsp Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 (edited) 1. How to check if undervoltage is really working ? that it really changed mV ? I very much doubt you can check. The only way you could be really sure is if the phone had dedicated hardware to tell you the voltage like PC's do. So you'll pretty much have to take it on faith. Edited January 21, 2012 by targetbsp
