You have to install the ROM package again or just unpack it from CM7 build and flash through fastboot

I wanted to buy World of Goo for use on a future phone whilst it is cheap due to the rebranding of market to play.

So I edited a build prop to fake the Blade as an ARMv7 Nexus S using various sources on the web

You can download it here: blade.windows98.co.uk/downloads/arm7-build.prop

use root explorer or equivalent

rename your current one in the /system folder

put that in it's place using root explorer

check the permissions are the same as your old one

go to settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all

wipe data for google framework and market

reboot

start the market app

it will take several minutes for the market to recognise your 'new' phone. The same delay applies when you revert to the blade build.prop

I am currently running nightly N210, can I update to 7.2.0 stable without losing my apps or will I have to wipe the phone and start over. Its been a while since I messed with the phone so will no doubt need a refresher on the update process.

Yes, just install zip from SD. Also, you might want to go to advanced and wipe dalvik cache, you won't lose anything.

My system partition is currently 140mb will this be big enough for 7.2.0 stable.

Maybe... just. The problem is that the play store has got big these days. I guess as long as you don't use my updated gapps so you have the old market in system and the play update in data you'd be fine.

Also, there's actually been some CM7 changes! Making a version...

Generally you find market doesn't work when you try and use it as some of gapps is missing.

I have installed the Zip and all seems to be working ok. I have noticed that my launcher and status bar icons (battery etc) have changed from green to cyan. Where is the setting for this if I want to change em back to green.

I have installed the Zip and all seems to be working ok. I have noticed that my launcher and status bar icons (battery etc) have changed from green to cyan. Where is the setting for this if I want to change em back to green.

You can change it with Theme Chooser.

Having said that, my wifi has suddenly started playing up after working well since nightly 1 of CM7. I can't work out why so I'm going to experiment with SS later as it has a selection of different kernels and wifi modules to play with.

SS also for battery due to UV kernel

Nothing beats CyanMobile when it comes to Customization lol

I mean you can never get bored on that ROM as you can customize almost everything

CM7 is balanced in all 3 :)

I still hold the opinion that UV doesn't do anything good for the battery for pretty anything other than using the phone as an MP3 player. :D

I didn't get on with SS and am back to CM7. But yeah it's popular so gotta be worth a go. :)

SS and CM7 are pretty same things, CM has more customization options and that's all. Same performance, same smoothness, but somebody likes one ROM more than other. Cyanmobile has maaaany customization options, and I mean MAAANY!!! Seriously :D For example it has navigation bar working on GB! For the cons I can say that it's a little bit laggy in scrolling, sometimes apps get FC and for me battery drains a lot.

All I can add is you have to try all interesing you ROMs and then you can choose one that you like a most. Good Luck!

BTW. I'm using right now SS + ICS Theme and it works like a charm.
