Hello

I had same issue.

Have a solution. See here.

http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/20766-c...-gapps-install/

Sorry for hijacking. But whenever I install gapps (google package) on cyanogenmod 7, I don't see any of the apps appearing (no market). Why is this?

I have wiped my phone before upgrading aswell. I have checked on other forums aswell but I don't see this problem anywhere else. :)

since the repartinitoning is not so difficult i will create my own tpt on the weekend.

but here some stupid questions for the pro´s.

i ripped some of the gapps out of th zip file before flashing. dont need gmail anyway. later i was asked to install them via market so they reside then on /data.

is it possile to installl all gapps as normal apps so they reside on /data instead of /system ?

wil solve a lot of problems. i dont care if they are on sytem or data anyway

The Google apps which are installed when you create/add your Google account the first time are installed on /data.

Same is true for all other Google apps installed via market later.

In order to install an app into /system you have to flash it with Clockwork.

Is there any progress on the accelerometer issue (particularly in games), where it feels laggy

Would anyone happen to have a compiled libaudio.so patched with the above fixes that they can ping me? Would love to test this!

I would like to get this on RC4 (CM7 stable doesnt work very well for me). Is there any way of doing so?

Just wondering if anyone has had the charge/shutdown issue with N39?

Going totally off topic...can I have anyone confirm that a few certain apps really bog down the system after a while? Menus moving at 2fps or so, etc.? So far, both Pulse news reader and Engadget have done this. My usual usage is to use them for a few minutes, browse around, and then just quit to the homescreen. After one cycle of sleep/wake up, the systems incredibly slow. It's not hard to force close the apps, but it's damned annoying. So, Indeed, can anyone else confirm this? Or any similar apps...

I installed pulse news last night and it totally screwed up the system, I couldn't even use the menus, I had to reboot and uninstall the app. I am on stable release 7.0.0

I also had the first reboot this morning - with alarm set to 7:40 I woke up at 7:41 because I heard an incoming SMS notification. Checked uptime and it was showing 1:30 minute so at the time it was supposed to start the alarm it rebooted instead :)

Going back to Froyo for now since alarm is a critical app for me (I also have battery drain with both 3G and data enabled, and BT is not connecting to car audio automatically but I have to trigger it manually EVERY single time). Otherwise best ROM ever (concerning speed and features and support) but 2 out of these 3 are no-go issues for me. :)

This change will be merged to CM in the very near future:

Good news! Thanks a lot.

But I don't find much happening about the battery drainage (issue 3175) but it's not only the Blade but also z71 suffering from this one. And the reboot issue... Happened only this morning but never before - I need the alarm. Will keep being informed on CM7 though since I'd love to use this ROM.

It's not a stock one but a Sony Ericsson set (was in the car when I bought it). All pre-CM7 ROMs handled it perfectly before...

The gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip package contains a minimal set of apps anyway, mostly libs and helper apps.

Market and Market Updater should be on the system partition.

But you can remove Car Home and Books from the zip file and install them later via market.
