made me chuckle.

you'll still get people doing it. people still ask about stuff in the first post on a weekly basis (for example gapps not appearing)

they should name the first gen2 rom cm7: cm_blade_gen2_full-40.zip or something......

Indeeed, they should probably name it something like Gen2Blade_Nightly_40 or something. Maybe have it under a different section. Just so some people won't go downloading the blasted thing unless they know about it specifically.

Ah well, I'm ready for updating to Gen 2, come tomorrow. Sure hope I never have to RMA my blade, because whatever anyone had to say about warranties being void, it was incredibly easy to get it back to stock...now? Not so sure :)

I'm just waiting till the first gen2 cm7 has a worthwhile improvement. then I'll "upgrade". until then there doesn't seem much point. my guess is it will be start of next week

I took someone's advice to delete the fotakill apk. After doing some research on what it was, decided to take the plunge and do it, since I don't think blade users even need this, as we arnt getting updates anytime soon to official 2.3.

left it on overnight charging, no alarm or display constantly on, and didn't have a single issue of rebooting/crashing while charging.

I recommend everyone who has problems to delete this (can be done in titanium backup). Early signs are showing its working.

Edit: Did another charge, and still no crash/reboot.

I'm already Gen2 and running CM7. Jacob built a Gen2 version.

That is encouraging regarding the fotokill.apk - I have just done the same, so fingers crossed.

Thanks for the tip :)

...ah you took the plunge, well done :)

Where did you grab the Gen 2 version from and is it built on n39...?

This rebooting issue while charging is annoying, and my ADW launcher still likes to make the menu disappear.

full wipe etc.

Stable? nah.

I always delete FOTA Kill (amongst others) and my phone crashed whilst charging this morning so FOTA Kill has nothing to do with it before you get your hopes up. :)

I always have an alarm set, and have had the charging reboot happen twice. I don't know where people get these ideas, but that one is wrong.

This problem is to random, N25-N33-N35-6 never got it once, it must be an app you all have in common?

Ah no, the phone crash doesn't bother me. It's got me so rarely in relation to the number of times I've had my phone on USB. I was more pointing out for others that it's not a solution. :)

I don't have any extra apps, and my Blade still keeps the screen black when charging,

plus immediately reboots when pulling the plug.

Taken the plunge on Gen 2. Lets see how this does...

I have a Gen 2 running N39 (converted from Gen 1) OLED SF, and whenever I try to go into Clockwork Mod to do a backup, I get the error "Unable to stat /sdcard".

Then when rebooting into CM7, I get the "Damaged SD card" error and can no longer access the FAT32 partition. The sd-ext is mounted perfectly fine, and the only option to fix it is to format the card under Linux, and restore the stuff I backed up before.

Already did that, running Gen2 with Cm7 on the flow!!

Nice work everyone envolved, and keep up the good work.

You guys are the best.

I've bought Adw Ex and it's totally worth it, nice and fast!

Just tried mounting the sd card manually with "mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 /mnt/sdcard" through adb shell, then went to Settings > Storage > Mount SD Card and it's working again. Looks like an error with the way Clockwork mod 3.0.1.4 for Gen 2 devices is un/mounting the SD card.
