Can I assume the following line from last_kmsg is bad?

[190: SurfaceFlinger]ARM9 has CRASHED

I thought Blade was ARM6? Maybe that's why it crashed? :)

(Log snippet taken by dropping into CWM after a GPS lock reboot, N41)

No, the Blade has an ARM11, or ArmV6, processor. Not an ARM6 one, which is much older.

Do things like metamorphs and font changer not work on the latest nightly? Whenever I apply and then reboot, the phone just stays on the green android logo

aye already try... my sim on another phone is working.

Seems a bug on gen2 or last mod.

btw on CM7 stable the name of my operator (on screen) was Telecom Italiz spa, now when i try to search and connect, the phone show TIM. seems somenthing change on it.

How old is your sim ?

Hi,

just switched to Gen2 and flashed #41. It's seems to be a great ROM so far, BUT:

I do have no reproducable reboot EVERY time after I use Google Goggles.

I always can take a photo and during analyzing it's rebooting.

Anyone else seeing this?

Best,

Ocko

#Edit: now it's although happening directly after starting goggles. I wonder if it hangs together with the GPS bug - will figure that out - stay tuned

#Edit2: Okay, it doens't happen when I switch off GPS. So I guess it's the well-known GPS-Bug (which never happened to me earlier). It's seems to be very reliable on Goggles. I never had problems earlier only using MAPS.

#Edit3: Layar does have the same severe problems with GPS...

#Edit4: It even crashes on Navigon and Maps! This is much worth than in N39, where I could use Navigon without any problems...

Grr.... converted to early to GEN2 - thought that bug was already solved... Now I'm stuck with a No-GPS-Phone until further notice :-(

Eagerly waiting for the next nightly...

Well that's just bad luck coz' I think this bug was solved just before the last stable, actually.

At least I'm running the stable on gen1 and I've been having no issues with my GPS for a week or so...

Funny that it "reappeared" in the latest nightlies :)

Or maybe some phones still had the issue on stable?

Hey I updated to GEN2 and find that if I disable then re-enable GPS it works fine afterwards...no reboot later either (but then I never had that on GEN1 either).

Still having the freeze/unresponsive/reboot when disconnect from charger problem though :)

Are you running something else that uses up a lot of RAM? I was getting stuff like that if I used the SPB Shell launcher. Once I killed it everything was fine again.

I remember someone posted that disabling dithering in cyanogenmod settings helps. It's under performance settings -> "Enable surface dithering".

I never had that bug on Gen1, although I used Navigon quite frequently.

Now in Gen2 it's really a showstopper, as every GPS program initiate a reboot just before GPS gets a fix (Navigon, Maps, googles etc).

Tried activate and deactivate GPS several times. No change...

Is there any particular sequence or magic dance I have to do? ;-)

Swedish Spring works fine.

Yeah, maybe, but it's 2.2. I really love this little arrows when you edit text. Can hardly believe how anyone used android keyboard without them!

Yes, I just posted my findings there, I don't think it is a breakthrough but I have got some relief from the GPS bug.

Quote from other thread:

Well I have been running Maps on N41 for a couple of hours with no problems, the change I made was to replace the gps.conf with one published by wbaw when we were having issues with FLB 10, I changed the server to the UK entry. CM running on my test phone at the moment so I don't have any other apps other than GPS Test+ to test it with but going in & out of Maps with a quick & stable 30ft. lock without any crashes or reboots.

Try a go in Applications > Market > Force Stop > Clear Data and Cache.

Anyone having problems with the new Facebook app Force Closing when pressing the friends button?

Only happening on CM7 for me.

that thing didn't work either because when i flash gapps zip file it won't install market app but other apps, so i installed vending.apk seperately, didn't work either

anyway, now am back to Gen 1, and using KK's CM7

I dont understand y people were so much moaning about, becuase two days ago i converted to Gen2, but today back to Gen1 without any issues, and fastboot is still there.......
