Don't recommend doing this, it's likely your IMEI will become messed up.

i have downloaded the package for Upgrade gen2_136mb_system_no_oem_15mb_cache

UPgraded to gen2

Instelled n41 (i have just skipped to install the SS rls4 Mod)

all work great, the phone boot up, but i cant phone coz the sim seems not present.

Did you try the newest version of Gen2 from the end of the first post here? Some users reported that that radio causes problems.

Wipe, format /system, check md5, flash again.

@Kindergarden ppl on this forum, dudes, get a room or meet personally and solve problems like real men (or children, judging by the flame wars). You are getting boring, it's a shame there's no effective mod team on this forum. If you still didn't get what's this thread all about, it's about CyanogenMOD 7 on the blade, it's not about personal frustration, family guy, avatar wars and so on. Sheesh. :)

I understand that this ROM is now gen2 only, and don't want to argue the pros and cons fo that here, they've been gone over enough in other places. However, would it be possiable for the first post to be edited with the details of which the last nightly for Gen1 was? I'm having some trouble finding this, and it would be helpful to a load of people.

Kallt_Kaffee's bits to make the Gen2 nightlys work in Gen 1 is great, but it would still be helpful to know where that break is.

I was mostly asking if it could be added to the first post, to save people having to dig so hard, as I thought that it would be of assistance, esp as N39 and earlier are not going to be suitable for Gen2 phones as I understand it.

This topics really huge now so most probably people won't read back pages, on the first page it maybe should say something like this:

NIGHTLYS AFTER N39 WILL NOT WORK ON GEN1

NIGHTLYS PRIOR TO N40 WILL NOT WORK ON GEN2

(all nightlys will work on any GEN if this converter is used "link",

DO NOT REPORT BUGS USING THE CONVERTER)

all in big red colors :)

It will save us from answering the same question on every page...

Guys, I've flashed CM7 (stable) via Rom Manager and there's a weird bug: I can't install anything from market. Has this been reported before?

Edit: nevermind, I did a factory restore and it's up and working now

sign into gtalk, clear cache / data of market in manage applications settings, try one of them and report back.

Original post edited... Now there's another issue: Google Apps, besides Talk and Market, aren't installed at all. I've flashed them manually and via Rom Manager and still they don't appear.

Have you repartitioned your phone? Obviously 128 MiB is way to small for the ROM itself and all the Gapps. You can either repartiton your phone again with this 136 MiB /system or strip down some apps, ringtones or wallpaper from the ZIP of cm7 ROM.
