Guest Freekers Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Appears still to be issues with wi-fi fix (uninstalled Bladefix) using 7.0.2 on Gen1 with conversion. Anyone conformed it's resolved in Gen2 ? The converter isn't updated yet. Thus you converted the ROM using an older kernel which still has the same issues as before.
Guest stephen m Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 fixed on Gen2, confirmed last night by several on irc Thanks. Will upgrade in due couse using this link http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...n2-tpt-upgrade/ I take it if you choose the second option which mentions N42 you then just update N42 to 7.0.2 via Rom manager ?
Guest dibbles Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Just converted with TPT method, so I'm on Gen2. :) I think I have seen this problem before but can't remember where. Your phone must be suffering from nervous exhaustion Every time you pick it up it is not an haptic feedback, it is trembling at the thought of you converting again.! :)
Guest bhf Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 I assume 'Backup all user apps' ? You assume right. Or do you 'Backup all user apps + system data' ? This is always a big mistake, no matter what.
Guest CaptainSpectacular Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Your phone must be suffering from nervous exhaustion Every time you pick it up it is not an haptic feedback, it is trembling at the thought of you converting again.! :( ROFL :) Anyway nice build, I'm testing right now, GPS ok, just charging, very smooth. Hope it will wontinue. :)
Guest KACE_231 Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) GPS works great on CM7.0.2, tested on Google maps and Google navigation, the problem I had before is no longer there (rebooting as soon as I got a GPS fix), though my only issue is that the GPS icon on the status bar remains, even after i switch it off, does anyone else have this issue Edited April 25, 2011 by KACE_231

Guest qwertymz Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 All these posts are making me want to go up to GEN2. Might wait for a couple more hours to see if the GPS and charging problems are completely solved though.

Don't think RomManager has been upgraded to handle Gen2 yet, you might have to use CWM to update.
Guest css771 Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Don't think RomManager has been upgraded to handle Gen2 yet, you might have to use CWM to update. The latest version is gen2. In fact, CWM 3.0.2.7 is already available for gen2 through ROM Manager.
Guest supermies123 Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 I upgraded from GEN1 to GEN2 using earlier method where i had to use upgrade program from computer and i think i'm not gonna be able to go back to GEN1. Is this new TPT GEN2 update somehow better than the earlier method? Does it give any better performance or better functioning?
Guest stephen m Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) Don't think RomManager has been upgraded to handle Gen2 yet, you might have to use CWM to update. Thanks. Is CWM available to download, if so where - appears not be on Market. Edit. kOzmic has answered that one. thanks Edited April 25, 2011 by stephen m

Guest alex1alex2alex3alex4 Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Yeah okay... I don't think anyone's gotten this with ANY ROM on the Blade. You aren't calling me a liar, are you ? Still at 33% after almost 6 days, and I lost the most power while downloading, installing, using ShootMe to prove it to you ...

Austria must have a fantastic mobile network infrastructure for that kind of battery usage
Guest alex1alex2alex3alex4 Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Austria must have a fantastic mobile network infrastructure for that kind of battery usage Well, we're a small country with a number of competing providers, so yes, the infrastructure developed quite well over the years ;-) The steep drop there in the middle was a ca. 1,5 hours call, other than that a number of short calls, some texts, downloading ShootMe from the market.

I used this method to convert to GEN2 and i'm not able to get to the FTM screen (which is needed in partition process?) when powering my phone up anymore. Edited April 25, 2011 by supermies123

Guest Android.Fan Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 Anybody going to upgrade their SF to Gen2 using wbaw TPT method please some mobiles flash TPT image using Back Button (Not Home) + VolUp + Power. I'd been struggling with Home Button as mentioned in the post but It would always go to fastboot mode (with green Android man).
Guest qwertymz Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 I used the TPT method to switch to G2 and install 7.0.2... but after I flash gapps, I don't have the market, and get a force close when I try to sync my google account. I understand this might be a partition problem... help?

Guest qwertymz Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) Yes. Data, system, cache and dalvik. What I did was: put the image folder on my SD root, then got the green text (which I assume means I'm on GEN2), then wiped, flashed 7.0.2, then flashed the latest gapps.
